Extra; "Awwww!" Said Sylvester as he passed by a pet shop with cute puppies in it. A small runt of a litter jumped up at the window as Sylvester pressed his nose against the window. He opened the door, and walked over. The pup was small, a beautiful golden color. "How much is this pup?" He asked the man working there. He said,
"Oh, you don't want him. He's a trouble maker!" And laughed, walking away. Sylvester stared at the pup with sad eyes. He sighed, reaching through the cage to pet him.
"Well, I'm taking you home, today or not," he said, standing up and searching through his pack. It had many rocks, most of them with colors and very pretty. In his pack was also his wallet, and he counted his money. 71$ and a penny. He walked over to the desk of the pet shop and started the man in the eye. "How many bucks is that pup?" He said, pointing at the pup. The man shrugged, saying
"50 bucks?" And shrugging again. Sylvester handed him the amount, and walked over to the pup. He scooped him up and stroked his head.
"I think I'll name you.... Maggie," he said, realizing it was a she. He cuddled her, also buying a collar and harness. Then he put them on Maggie and walked out the door. Maggie sniffed every corner and feared a tissue flying by. "Come on," Sylvester joked, picking her up. She squirmed, but relaxed when he pet her. She put her tiny head into his jacket and started sleeping. Sylvester sighed and kept walking, slower and more carefully not to wake up Maggie.
When he got home, his mother was there. She smiled and picked up the little puppy, who was now awake and searching everything. He barked at a coat, a shoe, and a hat. Sylvester and his mom laughed, petting her when she jumped up onto Sylvester's lap. He smiled and carried her up to his room. He had already set up Maggie's bed and placed her down into it. She jumped up onto Sylvester's bed when he lay down, and slept there that night. He hugged her close, careful not to wake her when he moved. The next morning was easy, Sylvester fed Maggie and played with her in his yard. He laughed when she tried to tackle his shoelace and picked her up. He looked her in the eye, saying "You are just too cute!" And played with her some more. Maggie lay down on Sylvester's lap when she was tuckered out, and started snoring away. Sylvester also closed his eyes, placing Maggie in his rock bag and walking into his room. He emptied out his bag and put the rocks in his desk. Then he made a small cushion and put it in the bag. Later that afternoon, Maggie jumped into his bag and off they went, searching for adventure.
