    Worst retail experience:
Audrey has worked in a mass retail clothing store for many years, and while she's had her bad days and some problems here and there it wasn't like she had horror stories to tell about the worst customers and experiences like some of her bosses had told her about in the past. At least she didn't, until about a month ago.
As usual for the end of a shift, she was fixing some of the displays while the guy working with her was supposed to be locking up. So when she saw a shadow in the corner of her eyes, she thought nothing of it "It's probably just Brian." she thought to herself as she continued what she was doing. Until she heard a feminine whisper behind her. Audrey froze in place for a moment before turning around. But there was nothing there. "Hello?" Audrey called, sweat dripping down her neck in a sudden rush of fear. "Is anyone there?" but there was no answer. She of course assumed it had been in her head, that she had been working too many shifts, but the gooseflesh under her fur wouldn't quite subside. She took a deep breath and began working on fixing the display again, trying to push down the lump of fear that had gathered in her throat "What's wrong with me? I've just not been getting enough sleep is all."
When she was done with that display, she went to the next. Something wasn't right though, the clothing in that display was strewn about in a complete disorganized mess "I could have sworn this wasn't anywhere near this bad." she said to no one in particular as she started to clean up the mess. She could have sworn, moments later, that she had heard a giggle, but when she looked around there was nothing there "Brian!" she called out "Whatever you are doing, quit it!" but again, there was no answer. Not even the rustling of clothing on hangers to indicate someone was moving about "I am losing my mind." Audrey breath a sigh and finished with that display as well. When she turned around though, there was a mannequin behind her. She jumped back into the display she had just fixed, not knowing at first that it wasn't a real person "Brian, that's not funny you jerk!" she called, but again there was no answer. She scooted the mannequin back to it's original position a few feet further back, and looked around before fixing the display "It has to be Brian, it has to be." she told herself before fast-walking to another part of the store "This place is too dang big." she grumbled as she stopped in front of the counter.
Behind the counter though was an odd young woman she had never met before "Why do you keep messing up my store?" the woman asked "I was making it perfect, but you kept moving things." the teen frowned, she couldn't have been older than nineteen "You keep moving things, and you should really stop moving things." Audrey frowned "Your the one that keeps messing with the stock?" she tilted her head "I don't know who you are, but you should really leave ma'am. This store is closed, and should have been locked..." she sighed "Brian! You forgot to lock the door. Can you come up to the desk?" she heard nothing, and so she sighed and reached across the desk to grab the intercom, but the young woman smacked her with a fly swatter "Where did you..? Why did you..?" she moved her hand away "I just need to get to the intercom-" the young woman cut her sentence short "This is my store, and you are not to touch my things. Understood? Understood."
Audrey didn't really understand anything, but she simply nodded "Ok, ok, I won't touch your things." she pulled out her phone to call Brian, hoping he would pick up. But the woman started to come out from behind the counter. Audrey took a step back "Hey, this is mine, I just need to call a friend." Brian wasn't picking up anyway. She grimaced and hung up the phone "Can I get you anything?" Audrey was starting to think she really needed to call the cops, just to be safe, but she was afraid if she pulled out her phone the woman would hit her with the fly swatter again "Hey, listen, I'll just go to the bathroom ok? Then I'll leave." but before Audrey could take another step back, the woman coated her in silly string "Hey, worker girlie, where are your kids clothes?" Audrey frowned "Look I don't know who you are, but that wasn't-" before she could finish, the other girl threw glitter at her "Oh, or the shoes, where are the shoes?" she cackled. Audrey flicked some of the glitter off "Hey quit that, what are you-" she girl came up to her, grinning, and stuck something to her face before running off toward the exit cackling and talking to herself so low that Audrey couldn't understand her, but she closed the door behind her and didn't even bother to look back. Audrey sat there, confused and bewildered.
Audrey ended up closing the store, Brian never having showed up again, and she called her manager to tell her what had happened.
It wasn't until a week later that she saw the YouTube video. The girl had been playing a prank, and between each instance where she had tortured Audrey she had added witty commentary to the video and sound effects, making a fool of Audrey, and the worst part was, she was Brian's little sister. Audrey hadn't had a clue until then that she had been set up, but thankfully it didn't hurt her job. Though a lot of people did start to visit the store to see the "Confused Employee Chick" from that YouTube video. Aside from mean teenagers though, she didn't actually get much ridicule. However, there have been a few crazies trying to pull her leg pop up since that incident...

Today. I can't even begin to describe the craziness of the past few hours. One day, I will look back and laugh, but that day is not today. I started my shift at Safeway at 10:00 am sharp. Okay, to be honest, I was a few minutes late. 10:03 am, to be exact. I had just taken up my post at the register when a kalon came barreling down the isle with half a dozen donut boxes tottering in her paws. One by one, she set them down on the checkout belt, and slowly they came towards me. Surely she couldn't eat all of those herself? Trying hard not to stare, I set to work adding up her total. "Party?" I asked curiously. The kalon nodded. "Yes, I needed a last minute party treat, so this is the best I could do." With a smile, I handed her the change and she turned towards the boxes. Within that small second of time, I realized I should offer to help. "Do you need help carrying them to your car, mam?" The kalon looked relieved and nodded gratefully.

We each hauled three boxes back to her car. As she opened the door, a little boy's face, her son most likely, popped his head out the window. "Will that be enough, mommy?" He asked. I raised my eyebrows as we set down the six boxes, each carrying a dozen donuts. "Yes, dear," the mother said tiredly. After she thanked me, I headed back into the store, and that's when things went wrong.

"Hey, miss, do you work here?" A flustered kalon walked right up to me. Looking down at my work attire and name tag, startled, I said, "Yes, mam, how may I help you?"

The kalon gestured behind her. "How come every morning, and I mean every morning, you run out of the good donuts? Every time I come here, you're out! It's ridiculous."

I stared at her, not sure what to do. "Well, we do our best to make sure there is enough for everyone-"

"Clearly you aren't doing your best. In fact, I think all you lazy bums should get your act together. The next time I shop here, you better have some good, fresh donuts in stock!" With that, she brushed past me and exited the store. I stood there for a minute, confused, before returning to my register. But before I could reach it, a paw tapped my shoulder and I turned around to see a frail old kalon standing there.

"Excuse me mam? I need your help," he said in a raspy voice. "Of course, sir," I said, taking a deep breath and following him. He led me to the Redbox machine, where his wife was standing there, repeatedly swiping her card in the machine. "We can't get this thing to work," the kalon continued. "These darn machines. You know, back in my day, we didn't even have movies. We went outside and played in the real world. Nowadays it's all about these technomajiggers."

I sat patiently and listened to his story when finally his wife interrupted him. Thank goodness. "Oh stop it, dear. She doesn't have time for no stories." Turning to me, she said, "The movie just won't come out. It won't register the card."

With a frown, I took the card from her and swiped. Sure enough, it didn't work. After multiple attempts, I stood back and gave the machine a light kick. Nothing. It took a few minutes of fiddling with the machine before I sat down in a huff. Stupid Redbox. In my frustration, I dropped the lady's card on the floor. When I bent down to pick it up, I realized it wasn't a credit card at all. It was her driver's license. "Um, mam?" I told her and she began to chuckle. "Oh, sorry dearie. My eyesight isn't what it used to be. Within a few moments, they got their movie (a documentary on birds) and left.

The rest of the day wasn't so bad. Except that someone spilled a jar of animal crackers in isle three (totally wasn't me...) and someone had to clean them up (again, definitely wasn't me).

It was early in the morning, my day was already going worse. I couldn't fix my hair and my coffee spilled all over me. Then I had to go back home and get new clothes. Ugh. But finally after my horrendous morning came the afternoon. I traveled to companies and often tried to persuade them into buying our paper. I was one of the best retailers in out branch, so I wasn't nervous.
I arrived somewhere around 1, I was a little late, but not by much. I started texting him when I bumped into another Kalon. He wasn't friendly, he supposedly tried to kill me with his bare paws, not that good. I went on with my client and started talking, worst thing about clients? It's when they are socially awkward.

"Hello there! My name is Ambrosia and I work at Buffalo Mills, you wanted to buy paper from us?" I sat down.
She nodded her head in response, "Yes, how much is the minimum? N-no I meant Maximum, sorry! She blushed and lowered her ears, I could tell she was heated up.
"We really don't have a maximum, it's up to you"
She nodded, after that question we began talking into things like dragons, warlocks and other fantasy stuff, apparently she was as big as a nerd I was.

I woke up the next morning, my boss texted me several times, I don't remember what happened last night, it was all a blur. I know I had gotten the clients phone number, which was un-profressional of me, but we seemed to hit it off pretty well. I liked her a lot, even though we just met. I proceeded through the day as normal, nothing bad happening to me. Then I got a text for her
"hey, I just wanted to let you know, I'm straight okay? No hard feelings? I just really needed that discount you gave me! Thanks again!"

Cream fur and bath bombs don't mix.
Seriously, I have countless stories of my mishaps and endeavors
working in this 'hip' little cosmetics store. Among these are;
spilling product on customers, coming home utterly
covered in glitter, and staining people's skin.
But the one day that will live in infamy, the one day that
Utterly Desecrated My Months of Training

It was early August, right before all the college students went back,
and our store was absolutely flooded with loud vibrant bodies.
In fact, the mall in it's entirety was overflowing with young people
frantically searching for the next item on their lists.
I had only been working for the summer, thus this was my first
"big week"

Scattered, my brain scrambled to recall the extensive ingredient list;
The endless benefits, the possible cons, of every single product.
One young woman waltzed up, her nervous hands tentative as
she sampled the hard colored soaps, the various balms.
As was required of us, myself and another employee sprinted to her
I playfully told the other worker off, claiming this client,
and offered my unnecessary insightful advice.

My quick introduction caused the poor girl to drop her soap,
apparently jarred by my paid-to-be-chipper attitude.
Her little voice chirped "I'm sorry," but I was already on the floor,
scrambling to grab it and place it back on the table.
With the paranoia of someone possibly kicking the soap
under a cabinet, or into nonexistence, I simply had to grab it.
And that is when //it// happened.

As I pitifully bent and reached for the bar of "Serendipity,"
the radiating, glaring white lights reflected off my shine
(as I was later told)
and momentarily blinded my co-worker over by the bathbombs.
The poor man stumbled into the stalls, knocking them over,
and it was at this time that I, the fool and perpetrator of this event,
stood up as straight, tall, and quickly as I physically could.

With a loud metallic clang, the trying basin fell from it's stand,
and a sea of soapy water rushed towards the fallen bombs.
Proceeding this chemical reaction was a technicolor trip,
swirling foams, neon colors, and kelp-based glitter.

I dropped to my knees, horror and shame welling in me;
the beautiful chaos before me, the nervous shrieks of people,
and all the while, my light cream fur soaking up the dye.
I went home that night with ample new colors and patterns.
Stains up my paws, splattered across my tail, all a mess.
Luckily, LUSH always makes the best smelling stuff...
Sadly, being allergic to kelp and powders is on me.

welcomer- It was another day at the EasyMart with its annoying customers and even more annoying manager, common grocery store. This was Alari's 10th week working here and she got the easiest job in the store, well so she thought, to great others at the front door. Now there is something you may want to know about our sweet girl, Alari, she is not so sweet. Yes she is nice and understanding but when others back talk her or give her sass for doing nothing it can anger her quickly. She needed this job though because well money you need money, so she sucked it up. But on this very special day she could not control it no more well lets just start at the beginning shall we?

Alari ran through the front door at work shuffling up the stairs. She barged through the door into the brake room where she threw her stuff down and leaped for the clocking in station. Perfect, she lit up with excitement on the inside, right on time. *Clink* Oh no, Alari narrowed her eyes as her manager Robin walked in through the other doors. "Alari, you know you are suppose to be here at least 5 minutes early so you are on the floor at 9 not 9:15 taking your sweet time up here. Also pick up your stuff, do not throw it everywhere."

"Yes Robin," Alari said trying to sound as happy as she could. It is fine you made it on time, technically, so she did not get to scream at you. So Alari put her bag into her locker and put her phone in her back pocket of her waist band she had to wear every day for work. She opened the door and headed down the stairs, feeling good until she tripped and tumbled down the stairs hearing a crunch half way down. She landed on her head, tail up in the air like a dork. She huffed everything is gonna be okay. Then she grabbed her phone and everything was not okay, the screen was shattered into a million pieces. She wanted to explode but did not her shift was short and she was not going to blow it.

She went and sat over at her chair and waited for break.

Break had come and gone and now she was headed back to her chair from the rest room and a cart came running right at her and in her attempt to get out of the way she hit the wall hard and the cart still managed to run into her, the milk content inside spilling all over her. Ugh. By this point she was done, she was sticky and the morning was only full of crabby Robin and above and beyond annoying customers. She sat in her chair cleaning off her matter hair and wet body. Then in walked the most annoying of customers of which she could already tell.

It was a mother with her two kids. She was screaming and her children were clearly not listening. "Good morning," Alari said trying to be as kind as possible, "Do you need help?"

The mother was clearly struggling with getting a cart out and watching her kids. "No! I am fine just leave me be!" The women said it in the most ungrateful of ways and growled at her children again at this Alari said, "Nice litter you have there."

"Do these two look like they came from the same litter? Cause they did not!" The mother responded.

"Well i just could not see how you could ever have two of them, since you need to have a partner for that, " said Alari in a cool tone.

At that the women looked at her with an open mouth. Alari just grabbed her bag throwing down her name tag and walking out the door.

She later got a job at her local bookstore and has not had an incident such as that in her many days there.
