Kratos was mature when he'd found his mate, Anna, and settled down away from the previous dangers and troubles of his younger years. They had been together a year before their son was born. Lloyd had been a strong little viscling with his mother's deep brown fur and brown eyes to match, red laced in his pelt as though to signify the powerful colors of his protective and stoic father. They had been living happily, unbothered, for years, until Kratos's past caught up with him, and he paid the ultimate price for it. The viscets he had made enemies with in his younger, stupider years came after him like rabid dogs after meat, tearing away at anything in their path--and as a result, Kratos had lost his Anna in the blink of an eye. His attackers lost theirs in seconds, at the jaws of the distraught, grieving father, the red that stained his pelt melding in so well that Lloyd had had no idea what had gone on by the time he'd returned to their little home, poking around and asking for his mother.

Kratos knew that it would not be the end of things.

Lloyd was so, so young when Kratos left him. It had been in anger, spat words and ruffled pelts on both father and son's end when the former of the two finally fled, his heart aching but hardened in determination to keep his son's life spared. Lloyd did not understand the situation, did not know, and he never would. Not if Kratos was capable of controlling that.

It is heart wrenching, watching his son mature and grow into a fine, headstrong Viscet from afar when he is unaware of his father's protective, fiercely loving presence, but it is a sacrifice Kratos is willing to make.

About him: Up until Stephan was in his early teens, he was a pretty happy guy, spending his time reading and contributeing to conspiracy theories, researchering monsters, and writing moderately ok mystery novels, none of which were ever published. Only ever going outside to walk the family dog, shuffle off to the library, or camp in the woods behind where his family lived, to go on his "little expositions". Needless to say he wasn't the socialest kid, and was often times made fun of for his strange hobby and habits. Such as drawing symbols to ward off demons, and reciting incantations from a journal he copied useful things down in to get rid of any other ill willed creature the Internet could think of.
A few months after turning fifteen, Stephan found himself miles into the woods looking for nomes and at the mercy of a lifeless wendigo abs a viscet who claimed to have killed it. Without missing a beat, Stephan begged the viscet to train him and fallowed them closely, for almost a month, until they agreed to under the condition that Stephan do everything they said and never got close to anyone in fear for their safety.
Life was rough for quite awhile after Stephan agreed to the viscet's terms, but after nearly a decade of being given a tough time, Stephan was forced into being ready to fend for himself when his mentor, who'd taught him how to fight, what he was fighting, how to kill what was fighting, how to get by under the radar, as well as everything else he needed to know, was torn to shreds by a monster right before his eyes. Turning him into the vengeful viscet he is today despite having killed the creature that took his mentor form him.
