Hey! I'm Sorrel, and apparently I'm here to talk about my job. Um...it's not really a normal job, I guess. Believe me, it can get super messy depending on the product. Oh right, I have to actually tell you what I do, huh? The gist of it is, I test out companies' products for defects. If there's a problem, I will find it. I inspect every part of the machinery very carefully. It can be anything from a skateboard that goes by itself all the way to melt-in-your-mouth crackers. I'm gonna be honest here, sometimes, I get some really dumb products sent in. One of the worst was one of those clapper lights. Where you clap and it turns the lights on. Except you didn't have to clap, you had to blink. There were so many obvious things wrong with it (like the fact that you blink every few seconds!) that I sent it back to the company immediately with a very long email of reasons why it was dumb. You may think that's a little rude, but it's my job! And I absolutely love my job.

My personal favorite was the Ultra-Microwave. It could reheat anything. Supposedly, anyways. Let's just say that potatoes don't do so well in any type of microwave. I never did get around to repairing that hole in my kitchen wall...

All in all, I think my job is the funnest around! What? Funnest is too a word.

As you sit in some scuffed up dirty concert hall, your chest leaning over the guard rails - eager to reach the performers on stage - Genevieve is watching the performance with equal eagerness. He nervously pins his hair up, loosely at first but re-doing it after the bassist drops the tempo yet again. If you were to ask the kalon what he thought of his job, his response would be one of two things:
1."Music is my passion, and here I am living my dream. What could be better, right?"
2."At the end of the day, I'm nothing but a baby sitter for talented toddlers!"

These opinions vary depending on how his band,his children, his pride and joy, did that day. Genevieve is a band manager and aspires to one day either own the record label which his band functions under, or, to start his own label. The band consists of a close friend, a kalon named Dubai whom Genevieve would do anything for, and three other support members. Ask the band name and there's a hint of playfulness and embarrassment as Genevieve answers "No Name". In his opinion, it's a cliche attempt at being clever - though Dubai swears it's an allusion to The Odyssey.
Luckily for his band, Genevieve finds no greater joy than seeing them perform. A warm fraternal sensation overcomes him whenever, after a long day of driving and performing, the band starts up singing in the van. It was never about being in the spotlight for him, instead he focused on uplifting those around him, in amplifying their talents for others to see. In a time in which he feels the market is flooded with faux artists, producing to produce a paycheck, Genevieve simply wants to spread genuine emotion through his band. Managing fits his lifestyle - organized and driven but with great artistic appreciation.
Though he struggled as a musician in his youth, adulthood had allowed him to mature and accept some limitations in life.... but never accepted less than the best for his band, never listened to those who said they couldn't make it. To Genevieve, music is a statement, and if you're to speak loudly and sing loudly, you better have something worth saying. For him, the message has always been to keep music music, to collaborate with the emotions of the crowd and to ride off of that. His job brings him pride, frustration, and great adoration towards others - fans and performers alike.
