my favorite character is greystripe! the og trio will always have a place in my heart, since i grew up reading these books, but greystripe definitely takes the cake.
his playful personality was always really entertaining to read, and made him a truly great character to start the books with. i loved watching him grow from an apprentice to a warrior, i think a lot of the mistakes he made as a young cat were very human, and could be relatable to a lot of people who read the books.
his arc with silverstream was incredible, and super sad, for more reasons than just how their relationship ended. fireheart and greystripe fighting over whether or not greystripe should continue to see her was a very hard thing to read when i was younger, considering they were so close, and the first relationship you’re really introduced to when you start the books. watching him try to be the best father he could by moving to riverclan was really bittersweet, knowing he was with his kits, but away from his home, and his best friend.
a lot of people disagree, but i thought it was really nice to see him move on from silverstream after so long, and start a new family with millie. i think he was a great father and friend to his clanmates, and still is to this day.
as an elder, and a background character, he still remains one of my favorites. he is still as loyal as ever, and great comic relief for the sad times in the recent books!
overall, he’s a funny, loyal, and determined cat who wants nothing but the best for those that he loves.

prompt; My favorite cat in the books is Cinderpelt! I really loved her spunky attitude and the snarky humor she learned from Yellowfang. It broke my heart when she got hit by the monster and found out she couldn't be a warrior, her ultimate dream. I enjoyed seeing her navigate this new path that she didn't think she would go on and her figuring out her new role within clan life. Watching her struggle at first and then finding her footing was inspiring. I loved all the wisdom she passed down to Leafpool, even if Leafpool didn't take that wisdom to heart all of the time. Tawnypelt:
The girl trusted her instincts. She went for what she wanted. It takes a lot of courage to do what's right for you sometimes. Especially when everyone around you is against it. She deserved better then to lose her mate and two of her children. She was honestly my favorite for a long time, and if you look around where i hang out on CS, in terms of warrior cats, i use the prefix tawny a lot. She's honestly such a well written character, and honestly, she deserves a happy ending.

Mapleshade:
Everyone's favourite evil gal. In her novella, her rage is so understandable and i cried when i read it. It honestly was so well written. I wish that she had gone to starclan, and that appledusk and reedshine went to the dark forest because they were such jerks. And yet all her actions were driven by love for her kits. Sure it comes in the form of brutal murder in order to appease the spirits of her undead children, but hey, nobody's perfect. Call me weird, but i just love watching all her maps, and wish she'd gotten the happy ending she deserved. After all, the reason everyone turned on her in the first place, was because she loved a cat from another clan.

Yellowfang:
Such a strong and determined character. Reading her super edition was hard, because it was awful reading about everyone turning on her for things she didn't do. Yet she still preserveres, and she has her own internal strength. She has such a loveable personality. She deserved better.
