Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.

Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient. Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off, which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

been sitting on this finished design for a few days now! I wanted to do something more darker then what I normally design, and I love the result!
And yes another ponytail style hair cause…I love it ;3;;

Selfless Act:
War. The smell of smoke in the air, the sounds of wildlife deafened by planes, by missiles. He'd been sent to the front line with the rest of the soldiers. To protect his homeland, to protect freedom. This was the cost of it. He hated it, but war was war and there wasn't any going back. When his younger self signed the dotted line, he hadn't anticipated things to look so bad up close. He was foolish, but some called him a hero.
That's how he ended up here, in a dilapidated shack caring for the wounds of the enemy. She was young, looked too young. Her face scarred from what could only have been battle and bullets. She didn't deserve to be here. But then again, neither did Gabriel.
He was silent as he stitched her arm, cleaned the blood from her clothes and sat her on a pile of burlap sacks. They weren't supposed to be friendly to the enemies, but seeing her under her helmet had reminded Gabriel that things weren't black and white. They weren't just pawns in some game. They were all alive. They were both the good guys as much as they were the bad guys.
So when she woke and begged him to come lay next to her so she'd feel safe under the rain of missiles, he obliged - but he didn't know if it was for her sake or for his own.

Selfish Act:
He turned her in. The military police came that morning and took her sobbing form. She'd trusted him, and he'd panicked. How was he supposed to leave there as if she wasn't a prisoner? His group had found him taking refuge in the shack and there was no other explanation for having her there. He could only watch in silence, face carefully emotionless as they took her off. They weren't friends, they were enemies. The badges on their uniforms reminded him of that, but inside the shack they had been more than fabric sewn onto shoulders. They'd been two scared kids clinging to hope. That's all Gabriel was. A scared kid. And that's all the girl was, as her soft tears grew distant.

Selfish act (500 words): Warlock was always the first suspected of things, likely from his mischievous and unpredictable expression. This of course didn't inspire him to be different; everyone always assumed how he lived his life, and quite frankly he wasn't up for proving them wrong. Plus the edge and excitement of a crime always entertained the young Kalon. He usually only went as far as stealing and, never wanting to actually hurt someone (with the exception of small consent-given spars with his friends), naturally learned to be as slippery as an eel.

In one particular instant, Warlock had come across an interesting scene indeed; a young pickpocket had been caught red-handed with the wallet of a wealthy businessman, and apparently the older Kalon had thought to teach him a lesson. Warlock was about to step away- that is, until he saw that the kit had dropped the money-holding pouch in his fear and the rich Kalon had disregarded it until he finished his revenge. Never doubting his abilities, Warlock snatched up the wallet effortlessly and left before either of them noticed a thing.

Selfless act (500 words): You wouldn't expect a criminal to return to the crime scene after they had just left, right? Well, that was certainly logical in Warlock's opinion, but the weight of the wads of paper in the wallet seemed to make his paws heavier by the second. He snarled softly to himself and turned back around, easily scaling a fire escape on a nearby building and making his way back to the alley. He was lucky enough that the businessman was still at his threatening stage, holding the younger kid by his short-furred mane. Warlock didn't waste any time spilling out the spare change in the coin-pocket into a paw and then throwing them less-than-gently down at the older kalon's back right where it hurt the most. Confused and a bit dazed by the sudden hail of metal, the ill-tempered Kalon howled out an, "alright, fine! I'll leave!" That still didn't stop Warlock; not until he kept to his word and left the alley, at least. Upon judging that it was safe he slipped down the wall from window-ledge to window-ledge until he silently met the curled up child on the ground. "I believe you rightfully stole this..." He muttered, a bit sad to see the money go but not regretting giving the younger Kalon a chance to get out of his poverty-stricken life. "Tell ya what, you were pretty good at that. The pickpocketing, at least. If you ever need a distraction... Eh, I'll probably already be doing my job." Warlock have the surprised kit an I pressed nod and dissapeared back down the opposite end of the alleyway.
