This is a breeding for Stumpy STMP where the foal goes up for adoption.Username: Tynahi
Name: Chaotic Heroism - "Damion"
Gender: Colt
Eye Color: Brown
Dam: Disaster's AftermathSire: An Everyday HeroGenes: E_/Ata/Zz/Lplp
So here we are filling out the paperwork to allow this little fellow to go up for adoption. Yes, we know that bandages make it look bad but it isn't what you must be thinking. He was a premature little guy, having been born during a snowstorm he is lucky to have even survived. We aren't sure how Daucina slipped out of her stall but chances are it was Stunner being her playful self since a few others had been huddled in the barn in the morning. After some searching Daucina was discovered huddled up in the trees but what was unexpected was the little foal laying between her feet. They both were rushed to the vet and given great care, Daucina had no ill affects besides being exhausted and chilled. However the foal being outside in the snow and wet had suffered some frostbite, that has since healed as much as it can but left a few hairless spots.
Now to explain the rest of the bandages, you must understand that being premature has left him a bit smaller then the other boisterous foals about Serpentine, so this escape artist over here has a few tricks to get himself out of stalls and fences that other foals hadn't thought up. It was the result of one such break out that he got into the final accident that we have decided to send him elsewhere. He was having his fun but as he came across a dog, it had been a fairly aggressive one, basically semi-feral so it chased the young colt. The chase ended up with him running into the barbwire fence of one of the ranches in the area. Someone helped him out of it this time and he is all bandaged up as a result, but we don't want to risk a repeat of this incident. Not only does he need to find a home willing to work with him through this time but Serpentine being located in Canada is not the best place for a little colt with cryophobia ("Fear of extreme cold, ice or frost."). So this is where we are regretfully letting this little guy go on to bigger and better things in a new home, I hope you'll love him as much as we do.
-Stumpy
Please note that because of his past you should know three things about him:
- Because of how his birth went he has cryophobia.
- He is extremely stressed, anxious and frightened around dogs because of the more recent accident.
- He is still an incredible escape artist which can cause problems.

┌────────────┐---"There's so much to learn, ---And now it's your turn, ---To shine, shine your way ---There's a feeling deep inside, ---You can let it be your guide,---To find, find your way,---And there's no time for us to waste,---Got to take a leap of faith,---And fly, fly away---Don't have to walk,---Now you can run,---Nothing can get in your way---All of your tears will dry faster in the sun,---Starting today,---Shine, shine, shine,---Shine your way"---Theme Song: Shine Your Way └────────────┘

---.Show Name: Chaotic Heroism
---.Name: Damion
---.Gender: Stallion | Colt
---.Halter Color: Black with gold splatters and pale gold buckles.
---.Cryophobia: We would deal with Damion's fear cold in a few
---.ways. First is the location of where he will live. The winters
---.here at Treelake Stables rarely get cold and even at its coldest
---.there is only a thin layer of frost on the grass in the mornings.
---.We would keep him inside in a heated stall during the winter
---.evenings and with a blanket on in the cooler mornings. The
---.rest of the day should not be a problem for him at any time
---.of the month.
---.Rehabilitation: When we get Damion we will get him used to
---.his surroundings and stall. His injuries will will watched and
---.made sure they stay clean and continue healing. We would
---.introduce him to some new friends that he can play and
---.hang out with and he is sure to be a hit with his playful antics.
---.We hope these companions will give him ample company
---.and fun. As for him being an escape artist we have some
---.ideas. His stall is made specially for him with tall doors he
---.can't get over under or through with a latch that closes
---.securely and attaches so it can't be knocked free. The stall
---.will be heated in the winter to help with his cryophobia and
---.is roomy and quiet for his comfort. The pasture fences are
---.made of stone and has a wood railing across the top. The
---.fence would be too tall for the horses to jump over and there
---.wouldn't be any way for them to go under or through it. The
---.last thing we would have to work with would be the fact that
---.there are some dogs in the area of the stables. We would not
---.want to cause too much stress to the foal and it would most
---.likely be something we work on down the road after the foal
---.is more comfortable as the dogs are not in the immediate
---.area of the foal. When we feel the time is right we will start
---.the reintroduction process slowly. We would start by working
---.with the horse in a round pin without the stressor [dog].
---.While we work we would have one of our stable hands bring
---.our older calm lab into the area [not super close but where
---.Damion can see/smell her]. We would help her through her
---.spook until she brings her attention back to us. It is going to
---.be a slow process and so for the first few times we would
---.end the session once the attention is back on us and
---.gradually work on bringing the dog closer when Damion starts
---.feeling more comfortable. Once Damion is okay with our dog,
---.we will work on dogs that are louder and more active as the
---.activity of the dog my trigger his memory and fear.
---. Throughout the process we will make sure that he does
---.not get over stressed or injured and will take as much time to
---.help him get used to their presence. We do not expect him to
---.love dogs, but we hope we can get him used to them being in
---.the same area as him.

Whirly will be rehabilitated In our care. We plan on finding him a mother. Eve seems a good option. She has had a few foals before and is very motherly. He doesn't need the milk but he needs love and care. He will be treated to the warmest stable in the barn which is the middle one in the foaling barn. We keep it warm in there for the foals. Whirly will be given some insulated rugs made out of the best range outdoor weather materials. He will be fed on goats milk and once he comes off milk he will be given some hot bran mash mixed with hot water. He will be given a thick bed of straw which keeps heat in pretty well and once he gets his bandages off he will receive a warm bath every day and a trip to the solarium. Whirly will be exercised every day, a simple walk in hand up and down the yard so he can see everything. He will be groomed everyday so he can get used to human contact and will be handled by me personally. Once he is less anxious, I will be able to turn him out in a quiet secluded paddock with Eve for a short while so he can get some grass. He will be showed proper manners from day one so he will grow up to be a well mannered and polite stallion. As for the dog problem, I do not have any dogs at my yard as of right now by he will see them around the area. They are well trained and will not bother him and if he gets to know that if he doesn't panic they'll leave him, he will slowly get used to being calm around them.

Whirly's cryophobia is the least of my worries until he is rehabilitated. Once he is 'weaned' and healed, he will be moved to the big barn where it is slightly colder and the straw beds aren't as thick. He will keep his rugs of course and slowly we will remove his rugs until he has adjusted to the cold. We will carry on his in hand walks but without a rug and bath him in lukewarm water and dry him off the good ol' fashioned way with a cooler/mesh rug. He will be kept an eye on just in case he starts to panic but these procedures will not be forced upon him all at once. He will be give time to adjust. We will not pressure him into accepting instant cold as none of us really like the cold but he will be more suited to it in a short while!

Dealing with his escapologist ways might be tricky. Since he is a small foal and I have post and rail fields, this will be a small issue, so for now he will be places in a small stone walled pasture I have. He will not be able to get out of his stable as the
doors are very high. They are very roomy so I won't worry about him getting bored and filled with toys such as likits and horse decagon things.

Name: Quilo
Reasoning: It's from Roman mythology's referring to the North Wind.
Height: currently 11.1 hands
Mature Height: 13.2 hands
Age: 10 months
Halter Colour: white with a black feather with black buckles
Personality: Quilo is quite timid and shy, once you get him out of his shell he is rather sweet and caring. You also meet his mischievous, escape artist side with
How will you deal with his cryophobia?: Being that South Carolina, were my stable is, has very little snow there. So he fear would be not that bad. We will also try to help him get over his fear by showing him the cold. Not enough to totally freak him out, just to get him out of his comfort zone.
How will you rehabilitate him?: We will rehabilitate Quilo by first letting him recover from his wounds

How will you deal with his cryophobia?: Since he has a fear of the cold and snow, where my tolter stables is located is perfect in California where it's almost always sunny and warm. During winter it may get a bit cold but it never snows, when it is cold though I will wrap him up as tight as a bug snuggled in a rug to keep him warm and comfortable. Since I plan on taking him on long trips for trail riding we may encounter some cold weather with him, but before any trips out to cooler temperatures he will constantly be worked with to help ease his fear of the cold, and show him that the cold is nothing to fear and that he'll be nice and warm with a full winter coat.
How will you rehabilitate him?: I won't force him to face his fear but because there are some friendly dogs that do run around my tolter ranch I will make sure he takes notice that when commanded the dogs will stay completely away from him. My hopes are that after considerable time with him being within sight of dogs, good dogs who stay away from the horses then he may find that dogs don't act as scary as the one that hurt him. Gypsy will be a companion to him, she has scars and one eye due to some pretty scary moments in her life as a foal and young mare so she will be able to help him settle and move past the emotional scars he has from his unexpected accidents. She'll know best how to soothe him when he needs it and show him that life is best when you live it to the fullest and to not dwell on the past.

Well my barn is located in a place with mild
weather all year round, because I hate the cold
as well, so he will not have to deal with the cold

How will you rehabilitate him?
I have three dogs at my barn already so he would
have to get use to dogs at some point but I do not
want to force him and cause unnecessary stress.
I would slowly introduce him to the dogs one at a
time through a barrier and slowly get them use to
each other, and to prevent his escapes I would try
to find an escape proof fence and put enrichment
toys in his paddock so he wont get board enough
to try to escape
