A cold October wind blew threw Bell Rose's mane fur causing the young Viscet to shiver. It was this time of year the region of DragonsScale was beginning to turn bitter cold, The mountains of Escur always had the coldest winters, were most cets had thicker coats, Bell was a forever lost and alone having been separated from her family. The cold nipped and sting her ears threatening to take them with frost bite. It was close to sunset when Bell Found an old hut tucked away in the mountains... not even caring that it might not be abandoned she pushed open the door and stepped inside. She was meet with a warm interior and an old gray Viscet sat by the fire. " o-- oh I'm sorry" She squeaked realizing her mistake, only to be meet with a king voice from the ageing male " It is quite alright child.. come in.. it must be freezing out there for you" He said giving her a warm smile. Bell Blinked slightly confused at his kindness but she shut the door anyway " Thank you Sir... it is cold... I'm not use to this type of weather" She replied in a soft timid voice. " No young one its quiet alright. No need to thank little ol me its my duty to help the lost ones" He replied getting to his feet with grate struggle to walk over to a cupboard. Bell watched him with curiosity as he pulled out some old cloths " Here child. these belonged to my daughter, and since she longer needs them you may have them" He said handing her the warm clothing. " What is your name young one?" The old Cet asked her softly as he limped to the kitchen next. " I'm Bell Rose.. Most just call me Bell" She replied as she pulled the red scarf around her neck. " A pleasure to meet you bell. You may call me Odyssey" He replied as he fixed a bowl of soup from the pot on the stove. " Here you must be hungry, this will warm you up" He replied as he sat the bowl down. This old Cet's kindness confused her, why would someone who lived alone atop a mountain help her? odyssey return to his chair his tail dragging the ground, he was much to hold and weak to even keep his tail up. ~Poor old guy, hes up here alone with no family... ~ She thought to herself as she walked over to the food and started eating.. as she ate she began thinking of what she could do to help him in return. Looking around the small two room cabin she realized how messy it was, so she quickly ate before she got up. She would wait until the old Cet had gone to his room, giving her some blankets to sleep on his couch as he had no were else for her to sleep. Once he was sound asleep she began working..
By morning she had the entire cabin save for the old Cets room clean, and she had fallen asleep at the table were she had sat down to rest for a bit. When Odyssey woke and found her asleep and his cabin clean he smiled softly and rested a blanket over her shoulders. muttering a soft thank you that was barely heard from the dozing Bell.
Bell spent the entire winter with Odyssey, until one spring morning he didn't wake up, It sadden Bell Gravely to lose such a kind old man whom she looked up to like a father, even in the short time she had known the old Cet, After laying him to rest in the forest by the Hut bell Return to the Hut where she remained and lived. Now helping other who became lost as he once had, While the cold still are kind to her the gift she had been given by Odyssey is enough to keep her warm on the cold windy nights. She remembers him fondly every time it snows. Wishing and hoping to one day find someone to love and care for as he had done for her.
