Midna's companion is a small male screech owl named Red. Midna's owner Jason, runs an animal sanctuary and he got Red one day because his past owners didn't care for him properly, Midna took over caring for the small owl right away and formed a bond with the small screech owl.

Midna woke up in the morning and felt the warm wind on her back, sighing slightly. She kinda didn't want to go into work today, but she did. She loved working and helping run the animal sanctuary with her owner named Jason. Midna smiled slightly and rolled herself in the tub of water Jason left outside for her. Midna shook off her fur after washing herself in the water, making sure that she was at least more dry than wet. She lifted her head as she heard the backdoor open.
"Come on Midna! Jump in the car and let's go! We got a new animal in last night, and he's right now at the veterinary clinic and we have to go pick him up." Jason yelled out to her.
Midna nodded at her owner and followed him in the house, waiting for him to gather a few things. When she waited, she began to eat her breakfast. She finished fairly quickly and waited by the front door. Jason, raced up and opened the door for her and headed towards his truck. Midna happily raced up to the truck and jumped in the back. She loved to take car rides, soon Jason started the truck and started to head off to the veterinary clinic. Midna used the wind of the moving truck to dry the rest of her fur.
-
The truck came to a stop at the veterinary clinic, Midna jumped out of the bed of the truck and raced up to her owner, who was already heading towards the door.
"Midna, wait out here for a moment when I get the animal." Jason said, going into the building.
Midna raced up to the window to the veterinary clinic, trying to peek in but the windows were only one way and didn't allow her to Jason came back after a moment, holding a cage. It was covered in a blanket. He gently placed it in the bed of the truck with Midna.
"Well....Here he is." Jason sighed, gently lifting up a part of the blanket to show Midna. Midna slowly peeked in the cage, seeing a small Screech Owl.
"They named him Red, and he was once a pet...so no sadly, putting him back into the wild..." Jason sighed. Midna stared at the small owl and smiled slightly, the little owl looked friendly.
"We'll gonna keep him for a while and nurse him back to health. He's gonna live in your backyard cage for a while. He's probably never gonna fly again anyways. The people who owned him didn't feed him well when he was a hatchling, but you never know if he'll bounce back." Jason added, before putting the blanket back and getting in the truck.
-
Midna happily shared her backyard cage with Red, watching the small owl hop around the ground. She didn't want to do anything but watch the small owl and make sure he was safe. When it came to feeding him, Midna wanted to do it. She wanted to nurse this little screech owl. Jason let her do it, trusting the viscet enough. Midna fed him everyday on time and made sure to put him to bed every night, Red didn't want to sleep during the day. His owners must have kept him awake during the day and he just got use to it. Midna sighed, slowly falling in love with the small owl over the months they kept him, Red was also falling in love with the viscet that fed him and played with him and did everything with him. Red became very friendly towards Midna and would jump onto her back and ride her around. Midna loved that Red jumped on her back and happily let him, and when her and her owner would have to go out, Red would always be with her. Red didn't seem too afraid of people, and would just happy either be onto of Midna's head or trying to follow her from behind, flapping his wings to try and fly.
-
"Midna...?" Jason asked, opening the back door and seeing that Red was on top of his viscets head. He chuckled slightly and smiled at them.
The small screech owl saw Jason and flapped his wings, flying over to the human and around his head before landing back on Midna's head.
"Yes, yes. I saw that two days ago Red." Jason chuckled, happy the owl could fly again. "Usually I don't keep animals like Red there...Midna....but since he's attached to you...I'll let you keep him."
Midna grinned, happy that her new best friend was staying to live with her.
