Prompt: Not too long ago, there was some romance in camp! Emberflare, who had lost her mate and kits to an accident, and Fleetingsnow, who was stubborn as a mule. Emberflare fawned quietly over Fleetingsnow, but they saw Emberflare as little more than an acquaintance. Emberflare was constantly trying to get closer to Fleetingsnow, but she was continuously pushed away. However, one-day Fleetingsnow’s curiosity got the better of them and asked Emberflare what she thought she was doing. Not so gracefully, Emberflare confessed her feelings, along with scolding Fleetingsnow for being so hard to speak to. For a while after this, the two were very distant, but it was because Fleetingsnow was too shy to admit they felt the same way! Finally, they approached Emberflare and accepted their proposal. The two are now happily mated, with a litter of three kits! It turns out, Fleetingsnow knew about grief too and is able to help Emberflare when she’s missing her old mate.
