xxxWheatrunner stood on the crest overlooking the camp, panic freezing him in place. It was like a nightmare.
The forest was alive with flames, heat buffeting his fur, the smell of smoke stinging his eyes. The undergrowth cracked, tree limbs creaking threateningly. All around him, cats screeched, carrying kits and dragging elders away from the heart of the fire; SpringClan’s camp. Rain still drizzled ever so slightly, seeming to have calmed down after spitting lightning down onto the forest floor.
xxxWheatrunner swayed on his paws as his clan-mates raced past him, and after one particularly rough shove, he seemed to get his senses back. A terrible creaking filled the air, before a tree, coated in flame, fell into the camp, setting the warriors den and nursery alight with flame. Panic thrilled through Wheatrunner, and he turned tail, fleeing, without a second look back. He could just barely see his clan-mates racing ahead; it seemed all of the camp had been evacuated already. His paws pounded the earth, stinging as flames licked at them.
xxxHe was gaining on the furthest cat, who was carrying a kit, which mewled pitifully. He could tell the cat was losing steam with the extra weight, and put on a burst of speed to catch up and take it. But as he neared, a crack split through the air. He hesitated for only a few seconds, looking up at the source of the sound, before the fiery branch crashed down onto him.

She wished no one had come to surprise her.


"Happy birthday, Gingersocks!" she sighed as she woke up.

She thought she saw two red eyes looking at her, but it must've been her imagination.

"Time to go get a drink by the pond," Gingersocks thought.

She walked past the sidewalk that wasn't there yesterday...



"Hhhiiiii thhheeeerreeee" she heard someone cackle.


"W-who's t-there?!" Gingersocks stuttered.

"Mmmeee, Ppppeeennnnnyyyycccccllllooooocccckkkk" the voice answered.

"Ummm.. W-where are y-you?" Gingersocks asked.


"Unnddddeeerrr herrrreee, ccccoooomeee... I hhhhaaaaveeee a giiiffft fffor yyyyouuu!" Pennyclock laughed.

Gingersocks walked over to the sidewalk, and just as she came nearer, a red balloon rose up from the sidewalk.

A face with red eyes slowly came out of the sidewalk...

"AAAAAAAAA!!" Gingersocks screamed. "YOU'RE NOT PENNYCLOCK, YOU'RE PENNYWISE!"

Pennyclock suddenly shook his head, and the red eyes, red hair, and blood... fell off his head?


"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SIS!" he laughed.

It was Oakspeck!

Gingersocks and Oakspeck laughed. "You really got me there!" Gingersocks chuckled.

"Well, that's how siblings are! But the best of all is having you not screaming!" Oakspeck laughed.

Prompt: This was supposed to be an easy hunt, no issues! But no, he had turned around the corner to see a massive dog! His entire body froze, eyes widening. This was not supposed to happen! How had they let this happen? Where had it come from? How was he going to get out of this? Could he get out of this? Heart pounding in his chest he stared the canine down... and for a few moments it stared right back.

And then? It started walking forward. Each step in advance made Amberlegs take a step back, a delicate dance. Could there even be a winner though? Would his fear make him pass out first?
