Username;; SpotSong
Cat Name;; Dustfur
Gender;; Tom
Age;; 30 Moons
Clan;; Burnclan
Rank;; Warrior (fighter in my clan)

Prompt;;
The most treasured memory...that Dustfur has had...it would have been a few that all link together. The day he met the most beautiful she-cat in the world. A pretty tortoiseshell with bright green eyes and a purr that could warm any old toms cold heart. She was so beautiful and he fell for her and went right up to her and confessed his love to her and they became loving mates that everyone knows about within the dark forest. The next best moment that links with her? When she had kits. His precious babies. Two of them. He fell in love once more and those are just the best memories that will forever be treasured in his mind and heart for the rest of eternity...

Clan;; oakclan https://www.chickensmoothie.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=3931802&hilit=Oakclan
Rank;; warrior

Prompt;; (581 words)
"what was the question again? Oh right my favorite memory!" Adderstrike scuffed the leaf ridden ground with his front paws sheepishly. Adderstrike isn't exactly known for having a great memory.
"Hmm, it's a hard question. So many great things have happened since I joined oakclan. But I guess if I had to pick one thing it would be the first time climbed an oak tree." Adderstrike tried unsuccessfully to suppress a pur rising in his throat.
"You see, every cat in oakclan has to learn to climb since some of our best battle moves come from above.
I was an outsider once. A rogue with no loyalties. Then I met fadedstar, he brought me to the camp and I have been here ever since." Adderstrike puffed out his chest in pride. Completely forgetting the point of his story. He opens his eyes suddenly realizing where the story was going again.
"Oh that's right, hehe, the oak tree. Well you see like any clan cat I had to start off as an apprentice. I was...a bit bigger than the others. And by that I mean I could touch one side of the cave with my tail while my ears touched the other end. On the bright side I was never cold! The apprentices decided there was no need to build nests when they could sleep on top of me. It started off with one small 'paw' who had a bad dream and asked if I would lay my tail on her nose like her mother used to. By sun rise I had three little fluff balls on top of me." Adderstrike couldn't help but giggle at the memory. He felt very fond of the cats he once shared a den with.
"So as an apprentice we learned to climb trees. It was a bit embarrassing at first since I was older and more...fluffy. I was just getting a grip on the trunk when an acorn hit my head. I looked up to see applepaw looking down at me from high above. My mentor pitied me, or at least I'm pretty sure he did. Still while all the other apprentices went on to their examinations I was stuck still trying to climb."
Adderstrike stretched his jaws in a yawn causing his eyes to water slightly.
"Anyway, it took moons but one moonhigh I set out to finally do it! Alone of course, I was too embarrassed to have somecat watch me fail. I wanted so badly to be accepted as one of them. I tried and tried, each time getting closer. I did clip a few of my claws on the bark which caused them to bleed a little."
Adderstrike looked down at his paws, the pads were still a little sore from the excursion.
"Just as i was nearing the top...I started to slip back down. I attempted to bite onto a nearby branch but it snapped like a twig. I fell a few tail lengths to the ground. I wasn't hurt. Well at least not physically. Just as I was shaking the dust from my already brownish red pelt, fadedstar came by. He told me he had been watching me since dawn. He told me that even though I couldn't climb trees too well I was a valued member of the clan." Adderstrike looked off into the distance.
"Fadedstar is a good leader. He gave me my warrior name that sun high and I have never forgotten his kindness towards me."

Cat Name;; Hemlockflame
Gender;; female
Age;; 55 moons
Clan;; BreezeClan
Rank;; warrior

Prompt;; [371 words]
Having been alone most of her life, Hemlockflame had never really expected to be able to live with other cats. The days always seemed to pass by monotonously, each one blurring into another, until she found a place to call home. Clans were strange things, but they formed a common goal that Hemlockflame found simply fascinating. The idea of a multitude of cats working together, helping each other, encouraging each other, and supporting each other really attracted her to the life of a Clan cat. It had been one of her biggest dreams, to be able to live with other cats, and she had found a home in her Clan.

And yet Hemlockflame yearned for more. Her greatest treasure felt like it should have been joining her Clan, but something was missing. She knew she didn't really want to have kits, but something similar resonated in her mind. The answer came to her when she was asked to mentor a newly made apprentice, a bright and energetic she-cat with aspirations to become a great warrior.

"Hemlockflame! Hemlockflame!" The small cat came bouncing up to her new mentor, eyes bright with curiosity. "Please please please let's go out and train as soon as possible!"

It was so uplifting, having an apprentice to teach. The one thing that Hemlockflame would forever remember was teaching her first apprentice her first lesson. It had been a hunting lesson, and the young cat was just so excited to be around Hemlockflame, and so excited to be out into the forest without her mother for the first time, that the excitement was contagious. It had been a time of laughter, of uplifting spirits, and one comment that her apprentice made would forever stick in Hemlockflame's mind.

"Hemlockflame! You are such a good teacher! Thank you so much!" Those words together spread a warmth through the mentor's heart. Teaching other cats was something she didn't realize she was missing out on until she was able to do it.

Hemlockflame felt a genuine sense of purpose since then. Perhaps she had found her true calling... a calling meant to teach others. Mentorship was something that Hemlockflame would gladly accept again and again, even getting the most troubling of apprentices.

Cat Name;; Reach, Reachflower
Gender;; Tom
Age;; 24 moons
Clan;; BlazeClan
Rank;; Warrior

Prompt;; wrote: Reachflower's best memory was a hazy one for most of his life. It had been a cold, breezy day, though the sun was shining. He was buried in his mother's warm fur. They were both purring, just lying there together.

Since then, so much bad had come to Reach. He felt he would never escape the bad luck. He held onto this memory, every day he reminded himself of it.

That was his best memory, until the day he found BlazeClan. He was starving and alone, shivering in the cold. A rustle in the bushes sounded, usually a signal to run, or become aware, but Reach was tired. He was dying. He let his head fall, waiting to be finished off.

He did not die. He was taken to the camp, where he was nursed back to health. They gave him a warrior name, Reachflower. He loved it.

Every day after, he thought of that when faced with tough times. It kept him going.

    Username;; Chimericect
    Cat Name;; Redpaw
Red leaves that fall in autumn [ Redfall ]
    Gender;; Female
    Age;; 10 moons
Clan;; The tribe of roaring flames
Rank;; Finding her path [ will likely be kit watcher ]

    Prompt;;
Redfall’s heart raced as she dashed through the bushes, the sharp thorns sinking into her pawpads as she pushed her way through. “Keep going Red, keep going.” She whispered to herself, a few tears glistening in her eyes. She refused to let them fall; she was stronger than that. She escaped, she was so much stronger than most would ever give her credit for.

She decided that, at last, she was far enough away from her tormentors. “You’re free, Red. You’re free. They.. can’t hurt you anymore?” She murmured. Her eyes glanced around at the unfamiliar trees that blocked her path. This could be a problem. The scent of cats lingered; she assumed this was the tribe they had attacked before. Red shifted uncomfortably at the thought of running into her enemies; no doubt she would be killed on sight. Red flattened her ears, this was a much safer way to go. Turning around meant running back into her clan, and they would do much worse than just kill her. So, she ventured on.

      “Intruder!”

The words echoed throughout the territory. Birds flew in alarm all around Red, although she couldn’t quite tell where the alarming voices were coming from. I’m the blink of an eye she found that she was surrounded, five cats glaring at her with pure hatred, baring their teeth at her, the trespasser. She studied her attackers carefully, making eye contact with the smallest cat. Red was unnerved by the absolute anger in the eyes of the other red-furred she cat. She could sense something more that went beyond just a simple hatred of the band from which she came.

“Who are you?” The second smallest cat asked. Another apprentice? No, this cat appeared older, and more tattered than the others. Her unusually blue eyes were iercing eight into Reds own, and it was here that Red knew exactly who she was dealing with. “It’s you!”

Thunderstar, the once silly and easy going leader of the tribe now hardened by the loss of not one, but three lives by the hands of the band of Rogues. Fear flooded through Red; she knew this was it. She would be killed at the hands of a merciless tribe.

      “Do I...know you?”

The question that came from the small, red-furred she cat threw Red off guard. “...No?” Red responded.

“Squirrelpaw, hush.” Thunderstar whispered, standing protectively in front of her adopted kit. Another cat studied Red curiously. “Similar pelts, builds, and gaits. By the looks of it, similar age as well.”

Red studied the small she-cat; was she too the same age? Then it clicked. “You?”

      “What about me?”

“They...told me there were others in my litter” Red whispered. The way her clan worked was, if deemed too weak or unnecessary, kits would be thrown out at birth to die. It was brutal, but it kept the clan strong; or so claimed by their leader.

“Mother called you copper.” Red whispered, careful not to anger the tribe cats. Red hadn’t expected Squirrelpaw to stepforward, eyes gazing in awe.

“Sister? I have... a sister.” Squirrelpaw whispered under her breath. It was here that Red knew she wasn’t going to die, but instead she had found a true family. She glanced around at the softening gazes, some confused while others warm. The leaders expression changed drastically from deadly to soft and caring; the sudden change made Red shift slightly uneasily.

She had found the sister she never thought she would know, and she found a family that would love her unconditionally, no matter how soft she was. No matter the fear she felt, weakness was and is okay in this clan and she loves it. So, Redpaws most treasured memory? Finding a place where she belongs, and finding the sister she only heard about through story.

[ sorry if it seems a little wonky, I tried to keep it short ahhh I’ll likely expand on this if I win /)w(\ ]

    Username;; paper planets
    Cat Name;; Troutwillow
    Gender;; tom
    Age;; 86 moons
    Clan;; slateclan
    Rank;; warrior

Prompt;; The path beneath Troutwillow’s paws was worn down to a slick, packed dirt from moons of use. His paw steps led him down this trail every day, the tom’s paw pads had hardened within the past moons of his life from his many ventures. Each morning he woke up with a yawn and a huge stretch — the dark ginger feline would roll onto his back and stretch out his legs, fluffy belly raised to the sky — that awoke the farthest reaches of his mind. Then, he would stand up, slip out of the den on quiet paws as to not wake the warriors surrounding him. His paws would lead him out of the camp, offering a small smile to the cat guarding the entrance, and all the way to the meadow. Before he did anything else he sat perched on the large boulder sitting closest to the grassy field and, in the chill of the early morning, he would watch the sun rise beyond the trees. Then, when the sun first peeked over the horizon line, the golden light would slice through the trees and, in only a moment, the meadow would become a sea of gold. After witnessing the sunrise, he caught a piece of prey, his ginger pelt moving swiftly throughout the golden sea as the grass whispered along side him. Before you knew it, he was on his way, padding down a well trodden path through the meadow.
Troutwillow came upon a small clearing in the trees, among the skinny birch trees sat a large willow. It’s drooping branches scraped the earth and the green leaves on those long, thin branches, swayed gently in the breeze. His smile was a bittersweet one as he slowly walked up to the willow, careful to not step on the countless flowers that decorated the ground. His little utopia. He placed his prey onto the ground in front of the tree and settled down to eat, his eyes fixed on the patch of dirt before him. His mate had been lent to the stars ten moons ago, if he didn’t come visit her tree in the morning he wouldn’t be able to focus all day long. As he ate, his mind wandered back to the first time he began this daily ritual.

A moon had passed since Willow died and he hadn’t done anything. He lay in the den they once shared, staring with bleak eyes into the world that suddenly felt dull. The once vibrant foliage was dark, as if storm clouds hung heavy over the treetops, coating his world in shadows. He got up to hunt every other day, ignoring the hunger pains that wracked his body on the days he didn’t eat. He didn’t have enough energy to hunt on the days he did, he did it completely fueled on some primal, survival instinct instilled in him. He had practically wasted away to nothing and he remained completely unaware to the time that was steadily passing. Day turned to night and night to day without him recognizing. He slept during the day and lay awake in the darkness or sometimes he didn’t sleep at all. He would curl up in the corner of the den and block out the light, screwing his eyes shut. One night, he lay in the entrance to the den and he glanced up. The full moon cast its silver glow down upon the world and, when he saw the full moon illuminate the sky, dread set into his bones. He couldn’t live his life like this. Willow would want him to actually do something. She always saw the world in brilliant colours.
The next day he awoke with a restored energy which had come out of nowhere. He got up and stretched his legs. At first he stumbled, like he was walking for the first time. Reborn again by some miracle with a new outlook on the world around him. He caught himself each time he stumbled or tripped over his paws and found himself becoming stronger and more sure of himself with each step. Then, his paws walked along a path filled with sadness to the little mound of dirt that rested below a grand willow tree. He sat, frozen, for what felt like hours. Then, his eyes caught onto a flower that was sprouting near the willow. It was so colourful and beautiful. It took some practice to get it right, but for that whole day he scoured the forest for flowers, carefully dug up their roots and replanted them around the willow tree. Restoring the colour to his life.

The newly named warrior couldn’t help but smile at the memory. It brought joy to his life again and it also brought him to his new home. One day he approached the grave and found a group of cats standing among the flowers, staring in awe at the flower field that he had created over time. He stopped at the edge of the clearing and watched them with caution apparent in his gaze. They were so careful and they seemed to sense the grave at the base of the tree and respectfully avoided it. That sight alone made his eyes burn with tears.
He joined Slateclan soon after that, finding they camped very close to his home. The cats were understanding and kind, they all welcomed him without a second thought. Then, he was told that his loved ones resided in the stars, in complete serenity. A sense of bliss washed over him as he imagined Willow, standing among the flowers, coated with stars.

Cat Name;; Rowenleaf
Gender;; female
Age;; 45 moons
Clan;; Ridgeclan
Rank;; medicine cat

Prompt;;
At the time it happened Rowenleaf didn't know that her getting picked as medicine cat apprentice would become her favorite memory, that she would one day look back and laugh at how she acted when she heard her name. How at the time it was the worst day of her life, but now it was a memory she treasured with all her heart.

Like most clan kits Rowenleaf wanted to be a warrior when she was young, as a kit she tussled with her siblings and pretended that the leaves in the camp were mice they planned to catch for the clan. They'd listen to stories from the elders about great battles that had been fought when they were warriors and how one day too the kits would get to experience the same thing. She never thought about living her life as a medicine cat and the night before she was to be made an apprentice she dreamed of becoming a warrior.

"Rowenkit!" The leader had called her up, the last one to be called in her litter, something that had her antsy but she was ready all the same. With her head held high, the long-haired copper kit walked towards the older molly, her eyes beaming with joy as she waited to receive her new name and mentor.

"As you all know Briarfall has taken on the duties as medicine cat on his own for a long time now and now he has decided to take an apprentice to train. Rowenkit has been chosen with the ancestors' help." The leader called out to the clan, but Rowenleaf had already turned her out.

'Medicine cat apprentice!' she thought, clearly taken back and in shock about not only the leaders and the current medicine cats decision but apparently the ancestors as well?

Through the rest of the ceremony, she could only go through the motions to keep from saying something or just breaking down or probably both. It was later when she was alone in the medicine cat den with Briarfall that she would finally ask why her new names being cheered by the clan still ringing in her ear.

Briarfall simply laughed at first at the new apprentice's questions before he told her something she'd never forget. "We don't always get to chose what happens in our lives and they don't always go the way we think they will. But however, they go and whatever happens, it's always for a reason. You have been called for this job Rowenpaw, even if you don't understand it now, one day you'll look back and laugh at this."

And Rownleaf does every time she remembers her apprentice ceremony, she laughs at how scared and confused she was. But she's proud too, that even though she didn't understand why at the time she didn't try and talk her way out of it. She didn't try to change there mind, she learned and realized that you never know how your life's going to go you just have to go.

Did you forget me so soon?
The one who made you,
turned you into this monster?
How sad.

Though I guess it's to be expected,
you always liked to block things out.
If it didn't make sense in your mind,
you just forgot about it.

But maybe it's because I didn't,
make you into a monster that is.
You already were a monster,
weren't you?
