what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:
i'm proud of myself for finding happiness. for the last few years of my life i was living in a state of disassociating, i was disconnected from myself and in denial of being depressed. i wasn't physically healthy, i was around unhealthy people, and i didn't care for myself at all. in 2019 i found someone who brought out the best in me and made me realize i'm worth something. slowly my life shifted from not caring about tomorrow to being excited for what the future held. i can honestly say i'm the happiest i've been in a long, long time. i'm glad to be sober and well and happy, i have an amazing SO that has my best interest in mind, and i have a goal for my life.

what is something you want to do in 2020?:
my resolution is to start treating myself better - not the usual "go to the gym" one, but i have pretty bad self image issues and i ignore my health problems because i'm a dingus. i need to remember to take iron supplements (im anemic as hell), eat healthier, drink more water. i think a healthy body is the key to a healthy mind, and that's my goal. along with this is to get a grip on my anger issues, i snap a lot and i want to learn to be kinder, there's no need for negativity in life. oh! and work towards eating less meat and dairy. i want to be pescetarian with every fibre of my being but we'll see.

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:
my best friend graduated early!!! so so proud of him. he hated high school so he put his foot down and graduated a year early. i wish i did the same thing honestly. he's getting his bachelors degree a year early, too, and will have it next winter. i'm really proud of him for his achieved goals. he's tech savvy and is sure to make a lot of money in the next coming years. i'd like to see him grow by working on his anger issues (same as me), he can pop off at any given moment over little things. one of his goals is to learn to make sushi, which goes along well with my goal of being pescetarian. our goals go hand in hand and i think that's great.

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?: I’m very proud of all of my friends who came out this year to their parents. I know how hard it is for anyone to do, and to see people so close to me go through that, it’s heart wrenching. Almost everyone from my friend group is part of the LGBTQ+ community, and most of them don’t have supportive parents. For those that weren’t able to do so last year, I really hope that this year, they’ll finally be able to show their families and other friends who they really are.

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:
I am proud of myself for surviving this long. its been very difficult to keep going as the years go on and im still here. im close to finishing school this new year and have a lot of work to do. ill keep trying to do art and make enough to make it a real thing for me, more than it is now. perhaps get somewhere better this year where these things are easy to talk about again. this is probably the hardest paragraph I've ever had to write due to how things have been going. but maybe it'll go better.

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:

tbh, this was just another depression year so i didn't even really leave my bed, so i'm not sure how well i can actually fill this out.

but, i think i learned to be allot more comfortable with myself this year. not only with my physical body, but with allot of mental things, as well. i don't really hate myself as much for struggling with chronic illness anymore, which is something that used to have a really negative impact on me, so i'm happy that this is something i'm learning to accept, and hopefully one day overcome 💃

on a less much serious note, i finally made an oc that i whole-heartedly love, and i've noticed a massive improvement in my art this year because i've been drawing him so much, so i'm really happy about that as well! i can draw hands now!

what is something you want to do in 2020?:

first and foremost: i want to get my body used to moving again!

i want to relearn how to get out of bed in the morning, and do my stretches before breakfast, and go on walks and jogs around the neighborhood! i think that once i start eating every day and setting more strict sleep schedule for myself that things will be better, and i hope that this year will be kind enough to make it easy on me.

on an unrelated note, this is the year that i will get a septum piercing. i'm sending the energy out to the universe and by god i'm going to make it happen.

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:
Finally figuring out my identity! I spent years agonizing over how to define myself because I'd never seen anyone talk about having experiences quite like mine. Turned out, some podcasts were far more helpful than any gender studies text I'd ever read and manged to get me into the ballpark of what felt like me. More importantly, listening to non binary people talk about their experiences and discussing how they'd found themselves helped me learn that it was okay to try things on and see how they felt. It took a lot of self examination and a little trial and error, but I finally feel more at home in my own skin than I have maybe ever.

what is something you want to do in 2020?:
Get a new job! The place I'm at now is sort of stagnant and despite the fact I love the pieces of my job, the company I'm employed by is super dysfunctional and I'm not fairly compensated for the amount of work I do for them. (Seriously we don't even make holiday pay it's the worst) In an ideal world, I'd find a job where I made enough to afford to finally move back out of my parent's house, but honestly I'm mostly aiming for a job that's actually within the boundaries of my degree and doesn't try and work me to the bone for scraps!

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:
My best friend pulled herself out from a very dark place this past year. She's been unhappy for a long time but she's finally found ways of coping with her anxiety that are healthy and seem to be doing wonders for her. It was really difficult for her to ask for the help she needed and I'm extremely proud of her for going through with doing so. The difference between where she is now and where she was at the start of the year is night and day. It hasn't been easy and not every day is a good day, but it's been truly inspiring watching her relearn how to love herself.

what is something you want to do in 2020?: I'd like to take up sewing! and try to be healthier! my dream is to be someone who makes their own clothing so I need to learn how to sew before I accept a college I'd like to go to. As for the healthier,I never drink water and only eat junk food, I really wanna improve on that

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: i got rats! and i learned to take really great care of them! this kal would be named after my first rat, peach!

this is a bit of an edit, obviously, but my rat peach died yesterday. so on top of being very proud of owning rats, i am proud that i was able to give her a second chance at life when i adopted her and rescued her from the bad place she was from. she was so scared of people when i got her. she would even pee on anyone that picked her up! but i stuck with her, feeding her and holding her, and she became the sweetest and friendliest little rat in the whole world. she'd wait every day for me to come home so i could play with her. our time together wasn't very long, but i'm glad i could give her a loving family.

what is something you want to do in 2020?: id love to feel more confident in my relationships! i have really bad relationship anxiety so it would be nice to learn to find comfort in my relationships, especially with my boyfriend ♡

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?: in 2019, my friend coped with extreme family issues. things are still very hard for her, but shes taking it step by step, and finding out how to make things better for herself and her mental health. im so proud of her!

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: i managed to leave sugar off my menu!! there are lots of foods and sweets i would love to eat, but i know i can't because they have sugar! (plus i mean, they would be too sweet for me to enjoy them at this point!) i'm also proud of where i got with my art! i did a lot of BGs this year, something i kept pushing away every year before that, but this year i participated in a bunch of ARPGs which required BGs for the activities, so i had to do a lot of these hehe, and then i also managed to progress a little with my human art too ;v;

what is something you want to do in 2020?: I would love to progress with my art to a new direction! i want to try and make my art improve more so i can feel confident about applying to an online course that isn't for beginners! or i might try to look more for a course that would help me reach the appropriate level to enter the course i'm interested in, but i don't really like the ideas of online courses that are just loads of random videos in a site, that you have to pick what to learn... in addition! i would want to try and find a job for myself, or at least think of a direction to search at, so that if i end up letting my art dream go, i'll have something else that would help me get money for a living.

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?: this year i've seen one of my friends go on and off, i wish i could've talked to her more, but i know the reason she wasn't active much was because she was studying a lot. last month she had a bunch of finals, and she finished her last exam not too long ago! i'm proud of her because she studied really hard for all the exams! i've seen her work on all the assignments and study for exams, so i hope she gets great grades, because she really deserves it. I hope that this year she'll be able to get some rest from all the work she had to do, and that she could get the work she wishes to get in the future!
