If anyone would describe Aurora, the words that would be said are "Gone To The Snow". She absolutely is "Gone To The Snow" and loves it, and the best thing to do after a big snow is going outside and enjoy the Northern Lights. Just like her "mom" and "dad", she is one fluffy butt and absolutely loves snow. Not only is it the coldest part of the day when they come out, the beautiful dancing lights make it even more breathtaking. Aurora's first experience with the Northern Light's was one summer night when she was a filly she snuck away from the herd to do her own exploring in SHS's forest, she had always heard all types of tales told about it, especially from Ransome. She would always start off in one of the little clearings not very far from the pasture and see how far she could go without getting lost. And that's why she knows her name is special to some very important tolters in her life "Because, my little girl, you are my Northern Lights, you and your dad, you are gorgeous and nothing will ever change that." -Quote by: Peaches
That's how Aurora got her name because the Northern Light's are also known as the Aurora Borealis and her mom and dad, Peaches and Vikus, wanted a simple, yet beautiful name for their young adopted foal. Aurora always enjoys their unexpected splendor, and often, it is what makes her the happiest tolter ever. Aurora now is a spunky, cheerful tolter that loves doing things with her parents and friends. Every year on her birthday they will spend the night along together soaking in the beauty of the Northern Lights and sometimes even listening to tales that Ransome has fabricated. Oh, and she is also a Christmas fanatic. She loves decorating for Christmas, and almost for anything and she loves when winter comes around anyways because that means SNOW! Though, that doesn't mean she can't be a little bit of a Diva at times, just like Peaches.
Aurora lay there in the snow, listening to cold wind make the trees crackle and enjoying the wonderful fluffiness and peacefulness of it all. Suddenly there was a light in the sky, Aurora looked up and gasps. She had heard tales of them from her mother but thought it was like tales of the tooth fairy or one of those tales Ransome always tells. Up in the sky there they were. Illuminated in thousands of colors of green, blue, and even pink or violet sparks they rose, fell and shifted pace. She lay there for hours surrounded by their cold, wondrous light. Occasionally her eyes would get even wider as new, unsuspecting surprises came of them. Then eventually they swept across the starry night sky and disappeared. Aurora stood there for a second, watching as the last wisps of the dancing lights left. Then she ran through the forest and across one of the many pastures at SHS to her mom saying, "Mom, mom!! The Northern Light's are real, I watched them the whole night!" Her young, high pitched voice is alive with the excitement of it all. "Yes, Aurora, and that is why I named you that, my beautiful baby girl. You are my Northern Lights." Peaches shakes her head, "I know that your getting older now, but please don't run off that long at night, at least bring me along for some of the fun!" Aurora smiles and leans into Peaches, "I love you too mom, and I PROMISE I'll be with you and dad next time, anyways, I'll get to ask you guys all the questions in the world!". The couple laughs at that thought. Vikus walks over chuckling, "ah, kid, you can ask me anything".
Most night's after that she would spend submerged in a cool bliss anticipating those gentle, gleaming rays that swayed to a beat of their own. And of course her mother, Peaches, who she didn't realize was only her adopted mom, would stand along right beside her with her mate Vikus.
