Name:
His name is Rustic Campfire, Rusty for short.
Gender:
Stallion, of course.
Halter and Beads Color:
A dark, dull brown halter, with pale olive beads matching his eyes.
Personality:
Rusty is very well-rounded, especially taking into consideration his very limiting disability. He's quite fast and strong, and is not known for being unintelligent and short-sighted(figuratively, of course). He loves to run, but never alone. He seems to understand that if he runs alone, he could become lost or injured, mostly due to previous experiences. His love for exploring and feeling the wind in his mane leads to him standing still when his saddle is put on (unless he has to wait too long, in which case he stomps his hoof and almost walks in his current place), or when he's being led to the paddock. He usually doesn't like to be left alone, but his biggest fear would be loud dogs, big or small. If he hears a bark, he becomes very jittery and nervous, and the second he smells a dog, he goes into a frightened panic, and won't settle down until he can no longer smell the canine. Rusty is a social horse, who enjoys being around others of his kind, although he doesn't mind people either. He enjoys being in the middle of a group of horses, where he feels safe and protected. Oddly enough, he loves sweet potatoes, and anyone who give one to him is instantly a trustworthy person in his eyes.
How Did They Become Blind?:
As boring as it may sound, Rusty was born without any sight whatsoever. Some say its better born than made, so then he won't miss being able to see things, while others have said he would have at least had a taste of what it's like to see the shapes and colours of the world. Either way, Rusty doesn't seem to be bothered by his lack of eyesight, and just seems happy to be in the company of people and horses.
