My favorite thing about Christmas: It used to be unwrapping presents but now I think I like going through stockings more. I also really love to go through neighborhoods to look at all the amazing lights and decorations put up.

What Christmas means to me: Christmas to me means to wake up early and get my favorite pair of reindeer antlers or my Santa hat.
My favorite thing about Christmas: I love to see all the decorations up around the barn. I am always hoping for a white Christmas but it never seems to happen.

Christmas Meaning
The meaning of Christmas to me is seeing your family and friends. Celebrating, whatever it may be that you celebrate. Like Hanukkah or Kwanzaa, or the Winter Solstice! It means a lot to me to see my family at this time of the year.

Favorite Christmas Thing
My favorite Christmas thing is hard to say. I want to say seeing my family and friends, but I also want to say the holiday spirit. That's why I gave this tolter that name. I'll have to go with the holiday spirit because sometimes you don't get to see your family and/or friends every year but the holiday spirit is always there.

I enjoy my owner bringing me treats a lot. She always comes and gives me sugar cubes, carrots, or apples at this time of the year. Sometimes she gets new bags of treats from her friends and family too! The thing I most like is seeing my owner though. We do see each other every day, but in winter we get to spend time together and not just go for rides.

Personality
Holiday is a sweet, graceful mare. She likes when she can see under the surface of things or people. It's much easier to understand them if you know what's under their surface in her opinion. A great beginner horse, and she absolutely loves to jump, do dressage, or even cross country though she loves spending time with her owner the most.

It was quite cold in my field. All the other horses were huddled in the corner thinking our owners wouldn't come, but I stood at the gate hoping she would. It had been a while since she usually came. I waited and waited. Nothing. Letting out a snort, I moved to the group and huddled with them. We all had blankets on, though that didn't matter if it was super cold. They were thinner blankets, not the thick winter ones. I guess she didn't expect it to get this cold.

Staring off into the distance, I thought I saw her towards the house. She was walking towards the gate when she saw me huddled with the other horses. She brought us all inside, into the warm heated barn. Though we didn't all belong to her, only me and a black stallion by the name of Dragonfire. We were in stalls beside each other, our information cards had all her information on them.

I guess we were special to her. She treated us like we were of a higher level than her, and tried to keep us in great shape. She took us for rides many times and occasionally showed us. We only got to spend time with her on weekends though. She groomed, fed, and watered us through the week, but never did she sit in our stall and just watch us or talk to us. I guess that's better than the other horses get though..

That must be why this is my favorite season. She hangs out with us lots more, and brings us lots of treats. I don't like complaining, and I know I may have got it better than some of the other horses here. She brings them some treats too, secretly anyways.. I don't think their owners even spend any time with them..

No, it's all about the hired hands to do their work for them now.

......Christmas, especially this year, means a lot to me. This
will be my first year properly living away from home so I can't wait to have
all my family around me again.

......The usual things - my big family crowded around a tiny table, laughter
and food and bustle everywhere. I love to give gifts and make other people

......'Christmas?' stutters the tolter, tilting her head at an angle.
'Is that when all the human children get gifts?'. She shrugs her
shoulders. 'I love it as much as any other day'.
what is your favourite thing about christmas?
......The tolters always get a few extras at Christmastime, but
even though the mints and sugar cubes melt in her mouth, they
aren't Missy's favourite part of the season. Sometimes, on Christmas
Eve, when the fairy lights glint through the window and the stud's
human children cluster around the tree, Missy can be seen alone in
the paddock, gazing through the window and quietly soaking up the
joy of her people.
missy's personalty:
......Missy is an incredibly needy tolter. She hates being alone,
bonds to new humans very quickly, and seems to be insecure even
with other tolters for company. Sweet (and very clingy), she's a
favourite among the children and beginner riders of the stud,
alwas stuck like glue to her trainers and willing under saddle.
Missy is a gem.

This horse is called Silver Bells, named after the popular holiday song and his strange love for the sound of sleigh bells ringing. He is called "Argen" around the barn, short for "Argento", which means silver in Italian.

What Does Christmas Mean to You?:
Christmas is my favorite holiday because it is a time to be with family and be happy. My best friend, or "unbiological sister", is considered a part of my family. So every year, on Christmas Eve, we go ice skating and spend the day together. That is one of my favorite memories, and I like to look back on it. It is just a very happy day, because we're together and have each other. I also enjoy Christmas because it's just a time to forget all of your stress and be with family, which you don't get to do very often. Gift giving is also something I like. I actually prefer giving than receiving, and love picking out gifts for my family and friends, because they show how much I care about them and how well I know them.

What Does Christmas Mean to Argen?:
Argen doesn't quite understand why or how humans are so happy one time of year, but he loves it. He strongly dislikes when the people in his barn are unhappy or stressed out, and all he knows is that around this 'Chrsitmastime', as his rider calls it, there is more happiness. And if the humans are happy, Argen is happy.

What is Your Favorite Thing About Christmas?:
My favorite part of Christmas is, and this sounds so cheesy lol, making others happy. I love when someone opens a gift from me and smiles, or I make my little (biological this time xD) sister hot chocolate when she comes inside from playing in the snow. I feel like around Christmas, there are so many more opportunities to make others, even strangers, happy, and that all of us to take one of the opportunities everyday, if not more.
