Opalpaw's companion is a crested gecko. The reptiles usually live in tropical climates, which struck him as odd because California is only considered to be sub-tropical. He predicted that the gecko came from one of the Twoleg homes, although surely that would be a long journey for the little guy. Rather than returning the gecko to his owners, Opalpaw kept him for himself and named him Grim.

the thing about pebbles, he isnt the brighest, and neither is his vision. while collecting rocks, he mistook frobbert for a strange green rock

But Periwinklefrost always felt differently, and ended up accidentally befriending a bumblebee when they were lounging in a field of flowers and one landed on their pelt. The bee realized quite quickly that Periwinklefrost was both not a threat and not a flower, and wanting to give the bug a chance to rest, Periwinklefrost brought it to a small puddle. Ever since, it seems that Periwinklefrost has gained a lifelong friend in the bumblebee, and it usually doesn't leave their side.

The story isn’t really pleasant, as her mother was probably caught by a pack of wolves or a lynx on her way to provide herself with food. Kora, the only kit in this litter of spotted skunks, was probably even more vulnerable to the cold of the winter season, having no siblings to snuggle on. Fortunately, a patrol of soldiers has found the lonely kit crying in her den, and Bosman’s family adopted her as their companion. These two were raised almost as if they were a brother and a sister, which isn’t that far from truth.
