Istas is a kind and gentle lioness who would never harm a soul. She is the kind of lioness who would help anyone she can without putting herself or others at risk. She is strongly a pacifist and has chosen the life of a nomad to avoid the war as best as she can since she would rather avoid the chance of being forced to kill another lion. She is a little shy and tends to stay in her own little area and avoid other lions when she sees them, though there are a few exceptions that have made their ways into her life. She is a little on the innocent side, she has never killed another lion, never dated, and knows pretty much nothing about the war except that it still goes on. The only other things she has done is hunt to survive.

Istas is a wise lioness who, despite being so young, is skilled with her element of ice. The skill is evident in how she uses the ice to survive, but her wisdom beyond that tends to be hidden from view. She is very quiet, pretty much silent, and rarely speaks at all. Many think she is mute, but she truly just hates speaking in fear of hurting others with words or saying something stupid that could offend others or put herself or others at risk. She speaks more through her emotions and actions then she does in any other way. She is graceful and moves as if she is floating over the ground, even in flight she is graceful and seems to move with the wind and is one with the sky.

Istas is a good listener she is someone who would just sit there and listen to someone speak, especially if they have something they need to get off their chest. She is trustworthy and any secrets told to her stay between her and the lion who told her the secret, being so quiet already as to not hurt others with her words, she would never tell the secrets of another in fear of hurting them by doing so. She is patient and could sit there for quiet some time listening to someone or waiting for them to speak. If they just need the company she will be there just to sit and wait with them so they are not completely alone as they just think and contemplate. She is not forceful and would never push someone to tell her something they do not wish to share, or try and convince them to do something they do not want to do. She would rather they make the decision to do or say things on their own and would prefer to just be a source for them to tell their troubles to, hoping that talking about it out-loud might help them make their own decisions.

Istas is normally pretty cheerful around those she knows and is always trying to keep a smile on her face. She is uplifting and likes to bring up the spirits of others through her smile and cheerfulness as well as through little tricks using her element. Using the snow and ice she controls to create little shows of sparkles and cold to cheer up children or just anyone who wishes to see her shows when she is putting on a show for the children. She tries to be optimistic and wants to see the good in others or look forward to or hope for good things ahead. She can be cuddly when it comes to those she knows and is comfortable with, she loves hugs and just relaxing quietly with her friends her family.

Elemental Abilities:
Snow Fall: Can create snow by forming ice crystals or by freezing water already in the air and condensing it into snowflakes. Likes to create snow to cheer up lost children or bring up the spirits of others that she meets. Also uses this to cool down on a hot day, especially to cool down the cave in which she lives. She can create storms or heavy snowfalls using this ability to hinder an enemy from tracking or finding her, or to blind an enemy in order to get away from them. One of her most used abilities as she also uses this to fill a little dip in her den with water, filling it with snow and then letting it melt so she always has fresh water to drink or clean up with.

Icicles: Can condense water into icicles which she can then control and fire at enemies. She has a habit of making them dull so they can't cause too much damage to another lion, but can make them sharp for other purposes. Can flings them pretty hard to stun an enemy and is normally only used when she really needs to. Can use them as traps by letting them hang down from the roof of a cave or tunnel, but prefers to use them as decorations in he cave, especially near the entrance as she likes to see the light shine through the ice when the time is right.

Ground Freeze: Can freeze the ground before her or around her to create an icy surface. Normally used against ground enemies to make it difficult for them to follow her or to trip them. Can also be used for fun and she will form a floor of ice for cubs to slide on as they please. Uses this when she is trying to move around large objects or loads, or even lions too heavy for her to carry. By forming a floor of ice beneath them she can slide them across the surface until they are placed where she wants them, very handy when she is hunting taxon. When she uses this to help injured or unconscious lions she will normally place something beneath them to prevent them from getting too cold or sick.

Sculpting: Can create shapes out of ice or snow and can also move and control them like puppets. Occasionally she will use these to tell a silent story or to tell someone something, but even then she prefers not to speak even through this method. Can use these puppets to help her hunt by herding her prey, by distracting them, or by helping to separate them from the group. Will also use these to make cute and funny snow or ice shapes to cheer up lost cubs or just to entertain. Could be used to attack or distract an enemy, often used to lead an enemy away or to block the path of the enemy temporarily.

Ice Breath: When letting out a roar or letting out a heavy breath she can freeze the resulting condensation and some of the water in the air in front of her, forming tiny ice crystals which are pretty sharp and can be flung at an enemy. Can be very irritating to the skin, eyes or other exposed flesh. If there is enough it could cause some nasty damage to sensitive areas and she normally only uses this in defense and when she can not escape by running away. Will use this to blind the enemy so she can get around them and run, or to blind their incoming attack making dodging easier.

Hail: Can condense any water in the air to form solid orbs of ice that can be as large as a baseball. Normally formed up high in the air and she allows them to drop, being the easiest and least energy consuming method. Can also form these hail stones and fling them at an enemy like a projectile. Another ability she only uses when she is cornered and this is her last resort. By using a little more energy she can also speed up the fall of the hail stones causing more damage or causing them to shatter upon impact so the hail stones that miss can shatter or bounce off the ground and still possibly hit the enemy.

Family Relationships:

Ibzan - Brother Figure
I found him as a cub in the unknown lands, clearly starving and exhausted. I could not just leave him there so I took him in and raised him for the last fifty years of his cubhood. I could not quite see him as my own cub, but saw him more as a little brother. He is one of the first few who took the time to learn how to understand me which I am grateful for, and he is one of the very few to know my name. I may not have told him at first, but I eventually did, he is family after all. He still calls me 'Sister' though and probably always will, for that was the first thing I ever told him with actual words. I want to always be there for him like his family was not, and I just hope he always knows he can come to me for anything.

Ishabba - Friend
Ishabba along with her daughter, Malaika, took me in after the fog and cared for me while I recovered. I just happened to be flying at the time, though luckily I was swooping low to check out something when it hit. I still hit the ground hard though, causing me to be out cold longer then expected. Ishabba is such a nice lioness, and yet strange with her element and birth. I am glad she is comfortable enough to visit me as I owe them much for the time they spent watching over me. Ishabba has become a close friend to me and is one of the only three to ever hear my name and has done a great job at keeping that special secret between only us.

Malaika - Friend
Such a sweet and curious little lioness who is definitely curious about me but won't push me for answers. She looked after me along with Ishabba and did a lot to help her mother take care of me and for that I am grateful. Along with Ishabba she is one of the very few to actually know my name and I feel she is trustworthy. I can relate to her as she also is a pacifist and does not wish to fight, and also is the kind of lioness who also does not like drawing attention to herself, though with our traits that is no east task, so I can definitely feel for her. I feel she is also a close friend and am glad to have met her. I hope we shall continue to be friends for a long time to come.

Describe yourself to me.
I am a female lion, a lioness, who is light blue and white in color with some specks and patches of black. I have the wings of a scout and the ears of a tracker, as well as some extra fluff around my lower legs or paws. I have patches of opal like markings across my pelt and the spikes at the end of my tail is also the colors of opal. The patches on my body, all except the ones on my wings and the colors of my tail spike, change when I am using or about to use my element. My eyes are indigo and rose pink.
I am quiet, patient, more of a listener then a speaker, I am shy and prefer to keep to myself and stay out of the current events of our war. I care about others, I don't think anyone should hurt or suffer, but I am cautious about helping anyone and everyone as I am scared of getting hurt. I will help cubs of course though, even if they just need help finding their parents, I will gladly help them with such tasks or might even take them under my wing if orphaned.

What do you consider are your strengths?
Abilities to stay quiet for so long and to listen to others for so long is what I feel us my greatest strength. I have learned so much from just listening, have been missed by enemies by being quiet, and have been able to hide very well from threats. I also feel my caring and kind nature are strength and allow me to get along better with the few I meet in the unknown lands. My optimism keeps me going and pushes me forward, so I would say it is also a strength. I am trustworthy and can easily keep a secret, so those that know me trust me. Using my elements to bring joy and to entertain others is another strength I have and it makes me happy to see others happy.

What do you consider are your weaknesses?
My quietness can also be a weakness as it makes it hard for others to trust me if I don't tell them anything about myself. Being a pacifist can make things challenge, especially when I don't wish to hurt someone attacking myself or others, it puts us all in danger instead of helping us. Being shy it's hard for me to approach others and I am more likely to hide until it is too late to approach the other lion. Attacking and fighting are weaknesses of mine and I have very little skill in such areas, meaning I am useless when it comes to protecting myself and others, or on a battlefield.

What is one physical attribute you are proud of?
I would say the wings and ears I have. Separately they are not rare to see, actually they are fairly common, but together it such a unique and rare thing. Both attributes are helpful, the ears let me hear enemies or my prey, and the wings help me to escape attackers or find my prey from above. Flying can also be useful for sneaking up on my prey or for catching up to them so I can drop on them from above or to other lions.

What one physical attribute would you change?
The fact that the colorful patches on my pelt change color when I am about to use my element, or when I am using my element. It gives away any sort of element of surprise when I need to use my element, especially when I need to make a distraction. It is pretty though, I guess that is one good thing about the whole color changing effect of my colorful markings.

What do you consider your special talent?
Well, I guess my element and controlling it could be considered a special talent, but as for my other skills, I guess it would be the talent of staying quiet for so long or rarely ever speaking. Most lions communicate mostly through speech and then there is myself, who rarely speak if at all.

What do you wish your special talent was?
I love my element just as it is, it may be common but that just means learning how to use it may be easier since I could find more lions to train me in the element, it's also an element I can use to entertain and bring joy instead of pain. As for other talents, I wish I had the talent to just tell everyone what I was thinking without worry, but my worry keeps me silent.

What's the worst thing you've ever done? Why?
That is not easy, probably kill a taxon or amani, maybe the few times I have had to use my element to escape an enemy, especially when I am forced to use my ice breathe ability and it gets in their eyes. I hate doing that so much, but I have had to do it once or twice to escape but I did feel guilt and regret afterwards for doing so. I feel worse performing ice breath to escape then I do killing a taxon or an amani.

What are you most afraid of?
This is a tough question, I would say I am stuck between having to kill another creature besides a taxon or amani, a creature more aware like we are, or seeing my 'brother' or mate killed. I can't really bring myself to kill outside of hunting my prey to survive, and even then I hate doing it, but I know it's necessary. As for losing my 'brother' or my mate, I have become very attached to the little cub I saved, even if I did not raise him too long, and even if he does make mistakes. And my mate, my love for life, of course I would be devastated is something ever happened to him.

Is one sense more highly developed than another?
My sense of hearing is probably my most developed sense since I use it more then my others senses, though smell is probably very close behind. My ears really help with my sense of hearing though and allow me to hear more then normal lion ears would. The fact that I am so quiet has allowed me to focus more on listening then speaking and so I do feel my sense of hearing is my most developed and therefore also my strongest sense.

I would say over a long period of time. I need to know I can trust the other lion, and also that they can understand me even though I rarely speak. I also guess I would need a lion who can get past my shy side, and that is not something that just happens immediately. So I would definitely say over a long period of time would be my preferred method.

What parts of loving come easy for you? Hard?
being caring, kind and also showing my love through actions are my strength when it comes to showing love.I would never force my partner to tell me things they don't want to or pressure them into doing thing they are uncomfortable with. I would be a listening ear to them always and will always be there to hear their worries. Telling them that I love them with actual words is something hard for me, and also telling them my worries or concerns. So I am better with the love language of Physical Touch and Acts of Service then I am with Words of Affirmation. Giving Gifts to or Spending Quality Time with my partner are not a problem, but also not my strongest love languages.

How do you decide if you can trust someone? Experience with others? With this person? First impressions? Intuition? Do you test the person somehow? Or are you just generally disposed to trust or not to trust?
I tend to avoid others at first unless I see a reason to interact with them, such as helping them out or seeing when they seem to need someone to talk to though the second option is less common. I am generally disposed not to trust others, but when I do give others a chance I would prefer to learn through my own personal experience with them since lions can act differently based on how another lion acts. They may act nice to a friend, but that does not necessarily mean they will treat me the same way. I don't give the best first impressions myself, so I never rely on first impressions as I feel those can be misleading in many cases. As for intuition, I don't have enough experience around other lions to really rely on it. As for testing others, if I could think of a good or accurate method to do so then maybe I would consider the option, but for now I rely on personal experience between me and the lion in question if I do approach them or if they approach me.

Describe your ideal mate.
Someone who will understand me or take the time to learn how to understand me and won't pressure me to talk when I do not wish to. Someone who will be patient, I don't think I could handle being rushed into a relationship. Someone who won't force me to join a side in the war, I do not wish to choose and I definitely do not wish to be a witness to the carnage and pain that is currently occurring in the pride and rebel groups. Someone who will accept my 'brother' even if he does have his faults, he is my family right now. I would love if they might be willing to have cubs someday, I would love to have kids of my own to teach and love. Would be willing to protect me and any cubs we may have since I can not bring myself to fight, but would not fight without reason. Someone who will let me cuddle them or let me spoil them, but not someone who expects me to say "I love you" out loud every day. I prefer to show my love through touch and actions.

With the Oasis lions staying in the pride, there's been quite a lot a buzz. If your lion is in the rebellion or a nomad, have they heard about these new lions? If yes, how do they feel about the stranger visitors? If no why not, and what have they been up to?
Istas has not heard about the Oasis Lions arriving at the pride, but if she had she would probably be unsure about them getting involved with the war since she hates the war so much and would hate to see even more lions get involved, hurt and even killed, especially since they had the option to stay out of the war all together. She has spent her time in the Unknown Lands, surviving and taking care of Ibzan. After a bad decision Ibzan had made he was left severely injured, luckily she had found him and brought him home. Her time has since been spent taking care of him as his wounds heal. He has refused to be taken to any healers from any side and would rather wait out the healing process, forcing Istas to take care of him and help him recover. She has become a little disappointed in him after what has occurred, but won't say anything. She silently hopes this event taught him a lesson since he finally told her all that happened to lead up to this horrible fight, and she was not surprised when she found out what he did to provoke the much stronger male into beating him to a pulp.

Mortimer, despite his appearance, is a doll maker. There's nothing strange about that, sure. He's able to make any types of dolls, ball-jointed, wooden, porcelain, stuffed, anything you ask, he can do. Although his job took for a strange turn when his niece came to him with a doll that had their arm broken. The doll had materials that was really hard to obtain, as well expensive, so there was no way of repairing it in 'perfect' condition. So he decided to use wood, and shaped it to look like a prosthetic, it was the best he could do. Thankfully his niece loved the idea, rambling about her story for it, something relating to a knight in a losing war. Silently he wondered if that's how he lost his arm, she got too into it and snapped it off by accident, perhaps?

The day after that, two of her friends had came in with dolls that had broken parts. He'd give one a robotic-like eye, and another with a wooden leg. Then more kept coming, keeping a steady stream of once a week. The children even dubbed him as 'doll surgeon', and honestly he didn't mind. He loved children, so to get called something silly like that filled his chest up with warmth. He also loved to help with their imagination, if they wanted a doll fixed up with a hook for leg because he's a 'hardcore pirate', then sure, he'll do that. Well.. maybe he was losing focus on his original job, but this was far too enjoyable to put a stop to.
