It's usually not that hard to tell, and when your entry is deemed as AI-generated, it will not be considered, and you will be disqualified. Please do not make me figure out what I'll have to do after multiple offenses; it makes me seriously so sad :(.

I've seriously been working very hard on these designs, and it's so disheartening when someone uses AI to make a response to create the illusion of having a thoughtful response.
I promise you, your genuine effort is so much more appreciated than a 'better' written response.

[breeding rules]

1. Cosmins have a 1-month breeding cool-down
2. You may not breed two Cosmins of any biologically shared heritage

Guest artists are allowed to make ordinary/common/uncommon Cosmins as adopts!

1. Guest artists are not allowed to sell adopts!
2. Must make at least 2 adopts within the month you are a guest artist to be considered to be an artist!
3. Follow all of the artist's rules (excluding #1!)

✧ Vel’ani are a semi-open species. Anyone can make their own using the official lines. However, there are certain restrictions in place as far as traits, number obtained in a set period of time, and so on. Please do not create Vels that deviate from these restrictions.

✧ While there is a set “canon” setting the Velar Research Institute (and associated ARG) exists within, you can develop your Vel in any setting you’d like. They do hop in and out of rifts, after all!

✧ You may only obtain one Vel’ani through the main adopts per month, and the same limit applies to expeditions. Exceptions may be made for event adopts/expeditions.

✧ You are responsible for keeping track of the Vel’ani and items you own via the communal archive.

✦ Designs must adhere to CS rules; nothing offensive, overly gorey, or suggestive.
✧ All Vel’ani should be made on the official lines via CS Oekaki, though exceptions may be made for special adopt events.
✦ You may not edit or change a Vel’ani’s design once it has been approved.
✧ You may only edit an existing Vel’s traits if you have the applicable item. This only allows you to change the Vel’ani’s traits; it does not allow you to alter the design, color palette, root type, or stats.
✦ All Vel’ani must have mana vents somewhere visible and appropriate on their body. They should also be, in general, clearly recognizable as a Vel’ani. Edits that obfuscate the mana vents or change the proportions or silhouette of the Vel to the point where the species is no longer recognizable may be declined.
✧ All Vel'ani must have one of four Root types. The base can be recolored, but the lines should remain untouched. Custom Roots are not permitted.
✦ Even if the entire body is edited, the pose and proportions should remain roughly the same as the original base.
✧ There are a few traits which cannot be used on Vel'ani created via blueprint, which can only be applied via item to existing Vel'ani. These traits are:

✦ Design transfers into the species will be considered on a case-by-case basis. You must have permission from the original artist(s) and species owner, if applicable; if the original design was part of another closed/semi-open species, that original version must no longer be in use.
✧ Designs transferred out of the species must also have the artist’s permission. Former Vels will be struck from the archive and will no longer be eligible to participate in the species.
✦ New (under 2 months old) or strangely empty accounts suspected of being “shells” meant to get around monthly adoption limits may be restricted from obtaining Vels/items until such suspicions are cleared (either by account age or by clearly being a unique person.)
✧ While there are no limits on trades, transfers, or sales per month, if it becomes clear you are using other accounts to obtain Vel’ani or items you otherwise would not have been able to get due to monthly limits, all involved accounts will be blacklisted.
✦ Violating any of the above rules may earn you a strike, depending on severity. Users with one or more strikes may be barred from participating in certain activities; users with three strikes will be blacklisted.
✧ Blacklisted accounts are barred from participating in any aspect of the species indefinitely from the day they are blacklisted.
✦ Strikes and blacklistings may be appealed by contacting the species owner.
✧ Vel’ani on blacklisted accounts will be handled on a case-by-case basis. In most instances, a blacklisted user will be asked to transfer any designs they created or that were not originally Vel'ani out of the species, and the Vels left behind after a month will be considered "returned to the void" (permanently retired from the species). Exceptions may be made for particularly egregious cases, or where otherwise deemed necessary.
