ღTimberwood Sanctuary - Openღ

Postby Phönixfeder2000 » Fri Mar 18, 2022 7:58 am

Image
Timberwood Wild Horses, first seen in Ireland, are a mix of Belgian Drafts, Mustangs and the local Connemara horses. Due to a burning barn in 1968 a lot of horses were released, the ones that were not found then joined the Connemara herds around and forgotten about. A couple years later, foals with unusual coat colors and a drafty appearance were spotted that could not possibly be pure Connemara ponys. One of them was captured and gene tested which revealed among others the above named breeds. The foal grew up to be a very well tempered, strong and pretty individual, so the responsible Timberwood Sanctuary left them alone, closely monitoring the development of those horses and their offspring. Annually, similar to the Mustang Makeovers and Dülmener Wild Horse Event, a couple of the horses are captured and auctioned off to regulate their numbers within the herds. All of them and their offspring must be registered by the TSR (Timberwood Sanctuary Registration). Nowadays the Timberwood Horse is known widely and the captured horses and their offspring exported all over the world for competitions and as working horses. Due to being crossbred, they can appear in pretty much any color variations and even developed a bunch of markings only seen in those horses, they range from 13 to 17hh.

General

• All CS rules apply

• Timberwood Horses (TW´s or Timbers) are a closed species. You may post them offsite (like Toyhouse), but must link back to this thread and the respective artists somewhere.

• A storage page must be updated fully in order to request breedings or participate in any other activities like exploring and competitions. This includes links to the individual horses, their lineages and slot usage. There is currently no limit to how many Timbers you may own.

• You can only order one rare import per month, there is no limit for common/uncommon imports. Adopts don´t count to that limit.

• Major line edits are not allowed, however small items and mane/tail edits are allowed. Those may or may not pass depending on the artist claiming the breeding. Feathering edits are not allowed.

• Timber imports/auctions may be priced in c$/pets or real currency with a cap of 30USD (no limit for pets/c$).

• Timbers may be traded, sold or gifted but in order to do so both parties must post on the horses adopt page and the owner/archivist must be dm´d.

• You start with 5 Token once your stable is registered

• Rules are subject to addition, alteration or removal at any given time.

Breedings

• All Timbers have five breeding slots.

• All horses must be named, have a halter and a fully up to date storage in order to breed. Foals must be grown up.

• Foals grow in 14 days from their post date.

• At this point, only mare x stallion breedings are allowed as the lineart determines the gender. However, feel free to let them identify as whatever they want <3

• Breedings are limited to 1 per week for now. This may change in the future.

• Artists are encouraged to order breedings from others, but may create personal breedings. Rolling must be done by another staff member.

• Any edits on parents are not guaranteed to pass to offspring. This decision is up to the breeding artist, and edits should not be requested to pass in forms. Edits must follow the above guidelines.

• Any kind of dye or tattoo can not pass in breedings as they will be obtainably through items.

• Rules are subject to addition, alteration or removal at any given time.

Artists

• There is no limit to how many adopts/breedings/customs an artist may create per month

• Artists should create at least 2 adopts per month. Customs and Breedings do not count towards that - new

• Artists may make a personal custom once per month. These do not roll over into future months. Please post a reasonable amount of adopts before making a custom for yourself

• Please try to keep genetics correct. If you have questions, don't be afraid to ask the other artists! We all started somewhere.

• Open adopts have no halter, halter will be added once adopted

• Rare markings should be kept rare. Everyone is allowed one rare import per month, not including adopts won.

• Very Rare markings are off limits for normal adopts and imports and may only be used for milestones or in breedings.

- Any natural Horse coloration is allowed
- Special markings will be added with time!
- The highest tier marking decides what rarity the horse has
- Eye colors, except for heterochromia, don´t have a rarity and can be any color

Chimerism (Breed only)
A chimeric horse is the result of two embryos fusing while in utero, and gives a horse two separate base coats. Markings will show over both coats of a chimeric horse, but dilutions will be restricted to the individual coats seen on the horse.

Somatic Mutation
A somatic mutation is a bodily mutation that can be found in horses, but it is not heritable from parent to offspring. They are thought to be caused by environmental factors or reactions to chemicals that are encountered. This mutation turns a portion of the horses coat "off" and strips a dilution from the area effected. In horses with a dilution, such as a palomino, the mutation will change the coat to chestnut; a bay will have the coat changed to black. Black or chestnut horses with a somatic mutation will have the effected area turn white. In Grey horses, it creates blood marks, or the commonly known bloody shoulders.
In Appaloosa horses, it commonly creates what is known as Mismarked Appaloosa.

Halters
The halters are based off of Mule tape Halters and can come in any color variation.

Edits
Large or major body edits or additions are not permitted.
Small line edits, like horns are permitted.
Item edits, including halter or other tack, jewelry or flowers, are permitted.
Milestones, auctions or Event Timbers may have larger edits.

Re: ღTimberwood Sanctuary - Q&Aღ

Postby Phönixfeder2000 » Fri Mar 18, 2022 8:00 am

Storage - First of all, you need a storage page where you keep all your trotters information including breeding slots. I don´t mind where you have that storage or if you have multiple species in there. The storage is needed to order breedings, explore, health test your horses and participate in competitions. You can register it by posting here in the introduction channel, on the main page of the species or by dm´ing me.

Adopts - There is no limit how many Timberwood horses you can own, order or win in a certain time amount. However, you may only order one rare import per month.

Imports - Imports can be ordered from the artists, there will be an artist hub at one point where you can see which artist has imports open and how much they charge. Imports can include small edits like mane/tail edits or items. You can also redeem your items like dye kit for imports. There is no limit how many imports per month you can order, but only one can be rare resetting on the 1st each month.

Breedings - An updated storage is required to order breedings and both parents must be health tested!
Artists will announce when they open breeding slots. Breedings can only be stallion x mare. You can order one per week for now. Each Timber horse has 5 breeding slots. Foals will grow 14 days after being posted. There is a slim chance to get twins. You can use breeding and appearance items in breedings. The foals stats will be rolled between the parents stats.

Explore - You need an updated storage to explore!
Explore is open all week and will close sometime on sunday, so make sure you post before the week closes! Non staff can explore once a week, staff twice. You have a chance to win many different things: 5% horse - 10% any item - 30% one to five Token - 55% Nothing.

-
Health Testing - This enables your horse to breed and compete. It costs 2 Token for each horse. Stats will be rolled and range from 1-10 points in the categories Health, Strength, Stamina and Speed. High stats will be useful for competitions and can be rerolled with items. Stats also determine the stats of their offspring.
