Satin. A fable born and raised in Mirror Bay on Prismatica. He has never strayed far from his roots, though he sometimes yearns for adventure. This yearning gets smothered by copious amounts of work in the village, maintaining herbs and medicine for everyone's needs.

Yes, Satin is the village medic, constantly on the clock even during night hours. Some would say Satin is a miracle worker, while others whisper there's something "wrong" with him due to the fact he never appears to sleep.

Satin is an insomniac through and through, although he never loses his sanity despite going days without sleep. It is a curse on his bloodline from The Void and its cult followers. An ancestor had crossed paths with one of the voidlings, and it had been like this for every generation since. Exhaustion runs deep in their bones, yet they never fall ill from prolonged periods without sleep.

Satin has tested many methods in his free time to attempt to break this curse, to no avail. Unfortunately The Void is stronger than a regular fable. Without knowledge from the Gods or higher fables (Demons or Angels), Satin is left adapting to life by finding sources of temporary energy to keep him going when working.

When not tending to herbs and other various plants and food, Satin takes care of the animals that wander near his home in Mirror Bay. It is mostly injured birds who come to him for help, seeking the nearest safe spot or person, which is him. He has a stray cat that is semi-feral but tolerates his presence enough for food and company. [270 Words]
