Scorchingwing left the clan that moonset with a full training, a name that defined them, and no regret in their gaze as they took one final look at their adoptive clan. Bailey, her mother, loved wandering into the forest when she had finished her job around the clan. Suryani would often follow her.

Suryani was skittish, unsure of all the sounds in the surrounding forest. She hurried up, seeking cover under her mothers warm pelt.

Bailey laughed, brushing her tail against Suryani's back in a comforting manner.

They walked on, talking and collecting different things. Eventually they reached a clearing where the sun was shining especially bright.

Suryani stopped and climbed onto a rock, Bailey turned to see why her kit had stopped responding.

Bailey smiled as Suryani sat down. The sun warmed up Suryani's belly and she thought it was the best feeling ever paws stretching.

Bailey leaped on the rock and sat by her kit.

"You will be called Suryani."

the leader gave a heavy sigh, as if summoning all their strength, jumped down and touched their head to blazepaw's, then raised their head with a loud wail. "oh, great sun and sun-touched cats above! i call upon you to welcome our new healer, and i wish you may give your blessings to him. blazepaw, your new name, is blazesight. i believe you will serve your clan well."

Firepaw swirled into sleep as the springs knocked him out.
"Firepaw!" A voice boomed.
He searched for a source, but he was alone. The forest surrounding him was dark; it seemed like the trees were falling, the bushes were watching, and the grass was swallowing him whole. He called out.

"Hello? Hollowstar?"
Whispers began to circle him.
"Who's there?" He shouted.

To no response, he ran towards the whispers.
"Firepaw!" Hollowstar shook him awake. He was in Starclan, his clanmates surrounded him, worried.
"Oh thank the stars!" Hollowstar's tone relaxed. "What happened?"
Firepaw blinked, then paused.
"I... I don't know. I was somewhere... else.."
"We'll talk later. Let's finish the ceremony, okay?" Hollowstar softly reassured Firepaw.
"Yeah... Thank you, Hollowstar."
The ceremony commenced, and Firepaw became Fireripple, but it wasn't the same. He was supposed to be excited for his next chapter, but his nightmare haunted his big moment.
