caramel apples...sweet, crunchy, juicy and tart...
all the things you want in a sweet treat wrapped into the perfect, delectable snack!
not only is the apple still intact, so you get that juicy, crunchy, semi-sour bite,
but while it's dipped in caramel? oh my god, do you also get a nice ooey gooey treat on the outside.
since Cinnamon is positively addicted to apples, they don't like any recipe that hides the apple or
ruins the apple flavor too much; after all, the whole point is the apple!
why would you try to hide that delicious flavor with a bunch of other ingredients?
that's why, caramel apples are absolutely perfect!
he's tried it with many different apples, but granny smiths are certainly the best.
they're refreshing and sweet, but crisp and tart when you take a nice big bite.
that slightly sour taste pairs perfect with the overly sweet caramel.
it's buttery smooth, soft chewy caramel exterior with the best treat a kalon could ask for on the inside.
after you're done drooling over that addicting taste, the best part about caramel apples is they're easy to share!
Cinnamon's absolute favorite activity is making a nice big batch of caramel apples, and sharing them with all his friends. after all, he can't keep this treasure of a treat to himself, the world must know!

Ana loves apple turnovers! This specific recipe, quite simple, was given to them by their grandmother. They used to go visit her and bake it together, now they bake it to keep her memory alive. Ana fondly remembers wandering around her grandmother’s apple orchard, picking fresh apples off low-hanging branches. They’d season the apples, gently fold dough around them, then bake them in the oven until they got nice and puffy. The crunchy, airy dough and the warm, cinnamon-y apples brings out everything good about apples and then some! Ana prefers their apples to be cut up in small bits so the inside is extra goopy, which is somewhat of an unpopular opinion amongst their guests. It's a question Kalons they know get frequently-- how do you prefer your apples cut?

Prompt: Cat's favorite apple treat is not actually a baked good as most would expect... but rather it is homemade apple cider! They love making different varieties, changing out the types of apples used, the sweeteners, sometimes adding spices or even a few new fruits to compliment the coder. You might ask yourself though, why cider?

The truth is pretty simple. They get a certain warm feeling, simply sharing good drinks and stories with people! They find it helps people open up, and relax a bit. but more than that, they tie it to one of their very favorite seasons: fall! One of their first memories was helping their grandma make cider, and after trying it they knew that was their favorite treat! You can never have the same cider twice after all!

That said their absolute favorite type is made from Gala and Pink Lady combined, with a touch of orange tosses in as well as allspice, sugar, and cinnamon. Nothing warms you up like cider in the cooling fall months! Well, that and the stories those they share it with bring. Sometimes, too, they bring their own snacks to share as well, but they have made so many friends through these exchanges, and they feel like they owe it all to a shared love of apple cider.

@Glitchatopia - I absolutely loved the emotion you evoked with the grandmother and the apple turnovers! The orchard and the process of making them were really wonderful, and I loved the art piece of the turnover itself!

@Griff - aaa another sweet grandmother mention! Apple cider was such a fun idea for a favorite apple recipe! Genuinely such a great choice of drink - I loved the reasons for picking it. Great apple combo for the cider too, loved that!
