You head for the corn maze, eager to explore and poke your way around its twists and turns. It's even more fun than you expected; you quickly learn to spot potential dead-ends at a glance and pick out particularly tall corn stalks as your landmarks to help you keep track of which paths you've already visited. The evening turns to night around you and the sounds of crickets begin to ring though the field. You even begin to spot the occasional firefly glowing amongst the corn.
The voices of whichever group is ahead of you grow louder as you go and you start to feel confident you're soon to be at the center of the maze. You come to a small clearing and feel a burst of triumph - there! you can see recent footprints and the lights of a gathering ahead. You've made good progress!
You start to head that way, but then a draft at your back sends a little shiver down your spine and you turn. You almost didn't notice it before, but there's a second path winding away from you in the other direction. It's overgrown with weeds and mushrooms, and seems poorly-lit. That's definitely not the way you should go.
The chill tugs at you again. It seems oddly insistent.
๐งก Pick the obviously correct path towards the center of the maze.
๐ Investigate the overgrown path to see where it leads.
