Welcome to the Comics and Series Oekaki Board!
This board was created to separate the awesome comics and stories users were creating from standalone art, making it easier for viewers to find what they were looking for. Here, you'll find comics, stories, and series with an overarching theme.
This board is for your covers while the pages of comics go into the subboard "Pages."

What is this board for?

    - Creating comics and stories with an ongoing theme or storyline
    - Creating single-page installments with an overarching narrative under one cover (i.e. "Ask my character," tutorials/"How to draw...," motivational images, etc)

What this board is NOT for:
    - Storage/WIPs/Sketches
    - Sketchbooks
    - Memes/Challenges where each image stands alone (i.e. "Draw 100 Pokemon," "Draw all my characters," etc)
    - Random standalone images without an ongoing theme/storyline

If your drawings are not connected by an ongoing story or theme, they should be sorted into their respective Oekaki category (i.e. animals, humans, landscape, etc). Please keep in mind that mods may use their own discretion to determine if your drawing belongs in this board.

Please try to sort your drawings in the appropriate Oekaki board. Repeated and purposeful misuse the Oekaki boards may result in moderator action.

I use a few programs for my own animated gifs!

You might want to look into firealpaca which is a good art program to use for making art of all sizes- i use it for my pixel art and simple small animations! You might have to look up some tutorials on how to use it in this way but it's pretty easygoing once you get the hang of it! The thing is you can only make frames and export them separately, you can't make a gif in firealpaca directly. Still it's relatively easy to draw and edit in firealpaca. :) You can also have numerous pieces of art open at once which can help a lot.

I would take my frames to ezgif (this is an in-browser gif maker!) to animate my exported frames into animations. it gets the job done and it's pretty intuitive to use, too!

3P-100 | Design Challenge!

    It took me 2 years to complete the first 3P-100! And now, after a good while later, I want to try my hand at it again.
    So what is 3P-100? It’s a three prompt one design challenge done 100 times! Specifically human/humanoid characters as a means of getting better at drawing humans.
    Last time the three prompts were a color palette, a keyword, and a song. This time the three prompts are: a body type, an outfit, and a song! I have changed the third prompt type to hairstyle!

    This will be providing all the design prompts!


    Rules For The Challenge
    • Designs must be human, mostly human, or have a human form. (Goal is to improve at drawing people!)
    • That’s it!

Hello everyone. So I don't draw nearly as much as I used to and I am always redesigning my characters but I want to get back into it.

orion is very much confused, is she bald or not?! O.K is question her lifes choices (and orions), swift and endo are losing it and have stitches coming for them in another five minutes. bliss is very much sympathetic, his cheek fur also get soaked. blizzard has no thoughts aside from the fact it looks good! fox and honey are partially distracted by two little bundles but fox is very much for this new fashion trend and honey is a fan of using them for loud storms.

this was fun to work on, no pressure to be neat or clean everythign super well which is great for burnout/art block!

    I was just drawing regular Mega Dragonite { & like a couple other ppl I saw, changing up the design a bit bc something doesn't feel right about it. Maybe I'll get used to it eventually } when I remembered the whole "evolving Dragonite into Yoshi in Red/Blue" hoax & knew what had to be done. if you think about it it was a mega evolution before mega evolution even existed

I write stories when this life is too harsh for me to handle and I try to hide in order to forget about it the best I can ... As I'm writing this I've finished writing the manuscript for three short stories and I have some old ones in my external hard drive that I plan to re-work and make use of. Here's to practice and to help me deciding what I'm comfortable with doing in the future.

There's a distant world located far away from Earth, hidden within the galaxy called NGC 5584. A world belonging to beings quite unlike us and what lives in our world. Creatures that we have called "dragons" throughout the ages that has passed. Of course, there are other beings as well. Much like our own world is home to many species and a vastness of great wonders. Unlike us they care little about what lies beyond their seven moons. They heed the call of their great Mother and Goddess, Delau, rarely striving for more than what she has provided them with. Shall we make our way through the vast universe and see what some of them are up to?



Do you prefer reading comics in the layout of mangas? Turning pages like an actual book and the frames in black and white?
Or do you prefer the layout of webcomics or manhwas? Scrolling throughout one and the same page during one chapter and that the frames are coloured?
