the tortie patches were technically what I had erased from the black color layer! so i used the round hard edge eraser at full opacity and i think sizes 1 up to i think 5 or 6 in random spots and just played around with how each patch looked individually c: i like to keep my smoothing setting up kinda high at like 70ish since I use a mouse, and changed the spacing/scattering slightly (but on the low end) every so often, if that makes sense :D
