◈ If you are approved to join, you must fulfill 2 requests in the Customs Oekaki per month minimum. But in exchange, you will also be allowed to make premade adopts to sell for profit (as long as proper credit is given for the lines). I will also choose certain rarity MYOs to hand out depending on how well you're doing or how many requests you've fulfilled.

As Tides of the Abyss approaches it's one year anniversary, the Tides team is excited to open up our first official staff search! After months of growth, worldbuilding, and community creativity, we are ready to expand our crew by adding some moderators and writers (and of course, more artists)! Every position is open, and you're welcome to apply for multiple roles if you feel like your skills fit more than one area!

Tides of the Abyss is a semi-ARPG set beneath the waves, where players can immerse themselves in the shimmering, enchanted world of the Hydrafelidae - an aquatic feline species shaped by magic, mystery, and more importantly, the deep. Community members are encouraged to partake in the ARPG experience by crafting stories, sending their Hydra's on explorations. However, lots of members prefer the collecting aspect, gathering dedsigns and building their worlds at their own pace.

However you choose to experience Tides, your journey is entirely yours to chart.

ARTISTS
Artists will help us run the adoptable side of the ARPG! They will be tasked with creating new adopts, claiming founders, and opening nursery batches so members can expand their pods. Additionally, they may help with creating event and community assets.

On that note, please do not post a color-in if you do not intend on being an artist!
It's totally fine if you make a submission and realize after the fact that you don't want to be an artist for any reason, just please do not post unless you intend on becoming an artist in the first place :)!

If you see an entry you really like, and if the creator of the Cosmin allows it, entries are allowed to be claimed! hello! i need help!
i work full time, and my other two artists are full time college students with limited or sporadic free time. i'm looking for some artists to join the team so there isn't always such a wait between adopts!


➥ the base lines are earless, hornless, tailless, and hairless (as far as head hair goes.) you -must- add in ears and horns of some variety - the lines are only basic so features can be switched out. you are welcome to draw in your own hair and tails. more info on the other features in the next bullet.

➥ i have only drawn in a handful of ears and horns, and while you're welcome to use them you may also draw in any features included in the trait list, which can be found here. some of the traits have somewhat ambiguous names (hotblood as a tail, for example,) so don't worry about trying to make sure everything matches up with the traits i have listed. go instead by the more "generic" rarity determiners - like tail length, horn size, hair length, etc.
i have yet to draw in tails or other fur types (e.g. smooth, curly,) but you are welcome to edit the lines if you'd like. there is a very rough smooth sketch in a file that you can use as a somewhat baseline for your own smooth lines. there is no sketch for curly or long fur at this time.

➥ there are a few unfinished horns in a file - please feel free to use them as a base for your own lines, but don't just use the sketch!

➥ some features may need to be altered a little to fit the lines (face scales may need to be moved, horns may need to change position to accommodate some ear types, etc.)

➥ you may make as many entries as you'd like. if chosen as an artist, you may also keep one of your entries and make it official after it has been approved.

➥ please write in "artist entry" somewhere on the image, and title your entry as just that - an entry.

➥ there are currently two background to choose from, but feel free to use a plain colored background for your entries!

In the early 19th centuries explorers came across an ancient monument for a unique bizarre creature that looked fairly similar to a buffalo but it had some equine features. They where found near the old caverns in Yellowstone seeming to come from a small long lost native tribe. Scientist just summed it up to nothing more then poor artistry but a small group of explorers couldn’t let it go and went on in search of more answers. After 10 long years the explorers came across a gorgeous plains/grasslands hidden deep within the mountains where they found the answers they were looking for these gorgeous, majestic giant creatures, half Buffalo half horse. deciding to name their discovery Restlers due to seemingly be the rulers of this area.

Restlers have a standard height range of 16hh to 17.2hh, though select few may be shorter or taller. They display nearly every coat color found among any other equine/bison breeds with patterns that extend even beyond that! They don't seem as feral as wild buffalo, maybe there will even be a chance to tame
these beauties

What are Khimaira Friesians?:
Khimaira Friesians are a "normal" friesian breed with all characteristics of a friesian and a average height from 15 to 17 hands, but even 18 hands can occur. The first born Khimaira was mistaked for a chimera horse. But a genetic test showed otherwise, there wasn't a second DNA but a complete new and unknown gen. Because this gen makes the friesian look like a chimera it was named khimaira. khimaira doesn't produce a complete new dna coat and therefor it can only lighten or darken the base coat of the horse. Till now only the paint khimaira is known that makes the khimaira coloration looks like tobiano, overo, sabino or splash. But we believe that there will be more khimaira variations out there and we still try to breed them. Appaloosas are not known till now, but we have some great friesian mixed horses with appaloosa patterns, so we are sure to deliver them to you in a short amount of time.
