guess who's celebrating no edit november? it's me!
I think no edit november is such a fun challenge. I usually feel like my edits really help me carry a design, so being forced to work without them is a welcome challenge! the spirit of no edit november is to still make distinct, visually interesting characters without any edited lineart. how did i do? >:3 i'm very happy with this little dude and i hope you all like him too!

explanation -

i get the vibe this kal has two names, alternating between the two frequently and interchangeably.
this kalon i'd probably assume would be immortal in some aspect, being the witness of many historical events and having insider knowledge, which he sometimes alludes to, of a "grander narrative," hence the "parable" part of his name. however, he'd also have a quite slippery personality, constantly confusing and purposefully tampering with public knowledge of history from a safe vantage point, hence the "paradox" part of his name.

his dual-name would also serve as symbolic of this double nature!! super sketchy slippery guy whos intentions are so unknown but he is just so devious ..

explanation - my bf has been playing the game cult of the lamb lately and one of his first cult members was marr, who we've made into a goofy little character. in that game marr is ALWAYS looking around for you, wondering why you haven't cleaned up after him yet or when you're gonna cook for him. he appears out of nowhere and slowly blinks at you, and he definitely has a few screws loose. this kalon perfectly embodies that mix of spooky and goofy :3c
