The Avine are a species of griffin that carry owl and big cat like features. They live in many types of climates, and can come in many different sizes. Avine are raised and train to participate in the Avine Racing Leagues where they gain stats to pass on to their offspring. The size of your Avine will determine what Race they are allowed to register for!

Uncommon: Extra Fur/Feathers, Extra Eyes, Extra Limbs, Ears
Rare: Line Edits of any Kind (Different Wings, Type of Own Head, Paws, etc...)
Legendary: Custom Lineart

Adoption Rules

>No limit to how many Avine you can own
> Storage Pages are required
> only Adopt one Avine a day
> Avine are not allowed to be taken off site without Permission
> If taken to Toyhouse, They must be added to the Avine Toyhouse World
> CS Pet/C$ Trades for Avine are allowed
> Real Currency sale of Avine is not allowed
> Trading Avine for other Avine is allowed
> Traded Avine include their Training and Artwork
> If you see an Avine with a past Adoption Date, but no applications, the first person to post the application will get that Avine. This applies to artists as well.

First Race Special Prizes!

Due to this being our first race as a community, we are offering one current store pet as a first place prize for each category. To enter a race, just register your full grown avine in their category! For more information on the races, please visit This post for all the information you may need. We are also open to questions!

AVINE RACING

Based on the size of your Avine, you can enter your Avine into a race. Each race will have a first, second or third place ribbon given to winners, and are awarded items such as Extra Breeding Slots, MYO Slots, the chance at extra babies and more.

Avine can only participate in 10 races in their lifetime. They are considered "retired" after that. Retired Winners pass on extra Mutations or stats to their offspring.

Small Avine Agility Race
Small Avine are able to participate in an Agility Race. A 10 sided dice is rolled to determine the difficulty of the event. Each Avine who enters must roll and the Avine who get higher than the initial roll will continue to the next round until a winner is chosen. Winners get an extra roll on their races from that point on. The extra roll has a 25% chance of passing to a single offspring. For each race won, they get an extra breeding slot. Winners get an increase in the percentage their offspring can be a higher Rarity than their parents.

Medium Avine Target Racing
Medium Avine are able to enter Target based Racing. A 10 sided die is rolled to determine the Target. Avine must roll their own dice to see who gets the closest to the target number. The Avine closest to the target wins, and if there are ties there will be another round. Winners get an extra roll on their races from that point on. The extra roll has a 25% chance of passing to a single offspring. For each race won, they get an extra breeding slot. Winners get an increase in the percentage their offspring can be a higher Rarity than their parents.

Large Avine Speed Racing
Large Avine can enter into a Speed based Race. Each Avine must roll for a random number. The range of numbers is based on how many Avine enter the race of their are ties, another race will take place until a winner is place. Winners get an extra roll on their races from that point on. The extra roll has a 25% chance of passing to a single offspring. For each race won, they get an extra breeding slot. Winners get an increase in the percentage their offspring can be a higher Rarity than their parents.

Extra Large Avine Weight Race
These races are for Extra Large sized Avine. Due to their size, many have trained these Avine to pull heavy loads. This has turned into a competition that many prize their training skills on. Winners get a +5 on their races from that point on. The extra stat has a 25% chance of passing to a single offspring. For each race won, they get an extra breeding slot. Winners get an increase in the percentage their offspring can be a higher Rarity than their parents.

Toyhouse Archive

If you haven't seen them already, we have an official Archive in our Toyhouse world! This archive tracks the Avine on Chiskensmoothie, while our Avine groups in our toyhouse world are meant to keep them all in one place when transferring to TH. Our second archive shows our custom eggs that are currently within our community, and the avine they grow into!

Toyhouse Event

We are going to be holding event specifically for those in our Toyhouse world! This event is a raffle type event, where all you need to do is join the TH world and check out this post for details on entries! The prize is a custom egg, and there are no limitations on joining other than you must be a member of the toyhouse. You don't even have to own an Avine yet to enter!

Prepping for the Races!

All Avine have been adopted at this time. We are preparing for the races, so we want to make sure everyone who wants to participate registers before the end of the month! Registration will close April 30th, so make sure you get your avine registered before then! We have prizes for both owners and Avine.

First Place Winners will get a Dachsound Store Pet! That's right, if your Avine happens to take home a First place ribbon in their race, you will get one of the store pets from this month. This is a special event kind of prize, so this will not happen during the next set of races! There are no limits to the number of Avine you can enter into a race, so you can register all your Avine and have the chance to win more than one store pet!

All Avine that place will get Breeding Perks! Avine that place in the top 3 of each race will all be given special breeding perks based on the place they won. They get perks to pass on to their offspring, which the information for that can be found in this thread post. The winners for this particular race will get perks specifically for the avine that placed. Information on those perks can be found in this thread post, along with the registration form you will post in that thread!

Remember, each Avine can participate in a total of 10 races before they are considered retired. These retired Avine get special Legacy perks, such as 5 extra breeding slots that could pass on special perks to their offspring! You can read more on Legacy perks by going to this thread post. The faster they can be retired, the better perks they can have! Which Trainers will have the top Avine? It's time to find out!

Summer Splash Event 2023 has Started!

Event Time: July 1, 2023 - August 1, 2023



Welcome to the 2023 Summer Splash, our first annual Avine summer event! Each Summer one artist is selected to create a custom line edit that is featured for this event, and gets to select a theme.

This year, Artist Tatangi has made a new pair of wings that will only be used for this event. Since these are all going to sport that new set of wings or follow the theme, all the Summer Splash Avine are considered Rare Avine.

This also means that the only way to get Avine with this set of wings is by adopting from this event, or hoping that the trait will pass to offspring.
