Willowstep, as a warrior, dreamt of becoming famous, his name being known amongst his clan for moons after his death. He wanted to be a legend, a bedtime story for kits, a spark that ignited dreams in other cats.

Now, deceased, some say he’s achieved that dream. Cats nudge him playfully, purring that he’s gotten what he wanted. They all smile and laugh, they don’t seem to get it. Willowstep is known, but not for being a fearless leader, or a brave warrior, no, his fame comes from saving an apprentice in the fire that ravaged part of HollowClan’s territory. The fire that killed him.

It was honorable. A feat worthy of the highest praise. But that isn’t how Willowstep sees it. He’s still got the mind of a young warrior, one hungry for power and fame. His wish, now, is a second chance. A chance for new glory, the kind that comes from being at the top, being a leader.

Nyx's greatest wish, despite all the good and the positives that this gift has brought her, is often to not have it at all. The gift is a blessing, yes. She’s been able to provide peace, understanding, and purpose to many of those who are lost. But, this gift is also a curse. She knows too much. About herself, about others. She knows about growth and birth but she also knows about destruction and death. There's no escaping her visions despite the relief she longs for so bad, even in sleep. It's too much to deal with, but she knows her purpose and she continues on despite the difficulties it brings her. While she’s grateful for this gift and for the joy it brings others, she also wishes she was never born with it at all, it’s exhausting.
