Prompt: as a private cat by nature, there are a lot of secrets this tom has carried through his life. the largest one to mention, however, is probably concerning his younger brother, stone. when they were kits, they wandered out into the forest and encountered a fox. blinded by fear, cedarswirl ran without thinking about his little brother - stonepaw, at the time. cedarswirl was his mentor. when he got back to camp, he realized in horror that in his panic he left the tom behind. he raced back to search for him and found stonepaw miles away, blinded by the fox but alive. unable to face his family, he carried stone to the local two-leg town and found an elderly human that took pity on the brothers. he visits stone constantly and even spends a few nights in the two-leg den when clan life is rough. his clan mates have no idea that's why he leaves camp, as they assume that he is just caught up in his eternal grief over the only apprentice he's ever had (and has told the clan he will ever take). cedarswirl knows he needs confess about what really happened that day, but he can't bear the thought of what it might make his peers think about the tom they think they know better than he knows himself.
