Marco is a chipper little fellow who loves the... idea of adventuring. In his head, and in all the grand tales of adventures he reads, it sounds like a very fun and exciting thing. Whenever he goes out in reality, though, he doesn't find it quite as glamorous. The weather won't cooperate, there might be annoying bugs or hostile wild pokemon about, or maybe he'll forget something at home, or get lost, or dirty, or any number of other inconveniences. So much as he loves the idea of exploring, Marco prefers to stay at the guild base, listening secondhand to the tales of others who have done the legwork of traveling themselves. There's plenty of work for him to do at the guild itself that involves significantly less peril and uncertainty- and provides him with enough breaks that he can keep reading the exploration books he still loves so much.
