It's that time of year when Baddies seem to cause the most mischief! The residents of the Goatlings Kingdom are masquerading as Baddies to trick and confuse other Baddies into leaving the town in peace.

Monster Masquerade is a big event held in October where members can join one of two Teams and participate in activities to earn prizes and points! The Teams are based on spooky Goatling mascots and the prizes are themed around all things Fall, creepy, and monstrous! The Team with the most points at the end of the event wins a special fusion of both mascots! pumpkin carving, obviously! the task of cutting through the stem of a pumpkin with just claws and fangs is no easy task, and is something her former clan would do in teams of 3 - two cutting, and one scooping out the pumpkin seeds to be used as bait for birds going into leaf-bare. then, another cat would painstakingly use their claws and teeth to etch designs into the hollowed-out pumpkin -- her favorite task to be given! oftentimes a clean cut that we twolegs think of wasn't possible - her pumpkin carving tends to produce thin lines through the pumpkin that illuminate when a light source is behind it, giving it an outline effect. after the pumpkin is decorated, they're used as wards against things that flicker and shimmer in the dark, trying to lure cats away - supposedly, they're scared of creatures made of fire and cloaked in darkness, hunting the hunter with glee. the carved pumpkins cast an eerie, wisplight image on the ground at sunset, and a few brave cats even managed to harness the power of fire inside of them for a while!

it's been a long time since maple wisp was spirited away by one of those flickering, enchanting creatures - but she still decorates the base of the spire in the mortal realm with carved pumpkins once autumn arrives.

Pumpkinpatch's favourite fall activity is spending time with her bat friends! Being able to transform into one herself, she spends a lot of time with other local bats hanging around the woods - sometimes more often than she hangs out with her own Clanmates! Unfortunately, though, this means having to say goodbye to most of them for the winter; hibernation didn't exactly come with the bat morph package.

But that only makes the season before they leave all the more fun! Helping out finding food, spending long nights together, and picking out comfy nesting materials are all the stuff fall is made of - not to mention letting loose and flying among the moonlit red-orange leaves, or playing hide-and-seek off by the pumpkin patch, and maybe scaring the odd twoleg kit or two for giggles.
