Development Comp! There's been a wild storm for awhile, delaying this puppy's arrival. But they're finally here! Well, almost. We haven't gotten a chance to see them while they're being fostered but we hear they're quite stormy with a thunderous bark even as a pup! To enter for this puppy, please first give them a name related to something light colored and/or wintry. Then, tell me about some of the major events that will happen in their life. Do they have a bright future? A dark one? A mixture of happy and sad? You may use unlimited art, writing, playlists, and any other extras to answer as long as they belong to you or are properly credited! I will judge on quality and how well the prompt is answered over quantity of extras.

To win this puppy, you may not own a breedable blixt or have owned one in the past. Owners/previous owners of blixt that are sterile may enter.

Cold, dark, and alone.

xxx Pagoniá's first moments are something she longs to forget. Alone and scared, she was outcast from everything she knew. No mother to warm her, nor a sibling to calm her. She was purely alone. Something cold and wet gently scattered along her frail body, slowly starting to cover her ashen coat. She later learned that this was snow. It seemed like no one would come to her aid. Where her family was, she had no idea, but she was sure they weren't coming back. Abandoned and feeling helpless, the little pup drifted off into a restless sleep.
xxx In the morning, she awoke to the sound of birds chirping in the distance and a feeling of warmth, a feeling unbeknownst to her. Still unable to see her surroundings, she used her nose to try and figure out what had happened. She smelled something unusual, but familiar at the same time. Another dog, perhaps? Hearing a light whimper, the little pup startled, darting her head back and forth. She then felt a gentle nudge at her side, and a soft lick to her forehead. Whoever this was, they seemed to have saved her life.
xxx In the next few months of her life, Pagoniá became close with the dog who had rescued her, Lotte. Lotte was a stray female who had also been abandoned, but by something known as "humans." Whatever those were. Thankfully, her adopted mother had just had her own litter, so she had lots of milk for the young, growing puppy. The two became inseparable, and Pagoniá saw Lotte as her real mother. It was just the two of them, but that was okay. Lotte was young, so the two of them were able to play with each other and have fun. She taught her how to catch her own food, and where to find shelter. They didn't have much and were hungry a lot, but it worked because they still had each other.
xxx A couple years had passed, and Lotte had gone out to scavenge for food while Pagoniá slept peacefully inside their den. It was a small little cave, but they called it home. A loud clang awoke the young dog, and she jolted upright, eyes wide open. In the distance, she thought she could make out the wines of another dog. Could it be?... Rushing to her paws, the female bolted out of the cave in search of her mother. Desperate, she ran as fast as her paws would take her, her nose guiding her all the way. But it was too late. Upon discovering Lotte, her eyes could not believe what she was seeing. Her mother in this big, metal cage with these strange beings lifting her into a large, white vehicle. Why are they taking her? A low wine spilled from her maw, her eyes filled with sadness and confusion. She wanted to run up and try to help her, to escape, but these things seemed dangerous, and she couldn't bring herself to get closer. She danced nervously back and forth, whining and barking, not sure what she could do in this situation. Lotte must have heard her, for she turned her head for a split second, meeting eyes with Pagoniá before the vehicle doors slammed shut. The young dog was beside herself, her legs forcing her to run as the van drove off, leaving her by herself. She couldn't erase her mother's desperate cries from her mind and the scared look in her eyes. Why? Why did they take her? Pagoniá didn't understand at all. They were just living their own lives, not bothering anyone. Why did these strange people kidnap her? It didn't make sense at all. There was only one thing that she was certain about, and that was the fact that Lotte was never coming back.


Alone again...


Personality: Pagoniá is a timid collie, although she does not appear to be so. Because she tends to be wary of others, she puts on a strong front, appearing aggressive and angry. She pretends she does not need friends or anyone to keep her company- just herself. This is a strong lie, for deep down, she is very lonely. Because of her past, the female is afraid to make friends in case they end up disappearing again. She has been hurt so many times that she does not trust anyone who appears to her. Will they just leave her again? Its better to be alone than to invite someone in and have them leave her. In the rare case that she actually makes friends, Pagoniá becomes obsessive and wants to spend all of her time with them. She hates for them to be out of her sight, because if she is with them all the time, they cannot leave. Its very hard to become close with this collie for her understanding of trust and love is very skewed. It can be exhausting and frustrating to form a relationship with her and maintain it. She does have some good qualities though, in the fact that she does truly care about those close to her. Pagoniá would do anything and everything for one she loves, including sacrificing herself. She loves to learn about all of the little details and will remember them with ease for the rest of her days. Her favorite thing to do is to bring her friends little gifts in order to show her love for them.

Relationships: Nýchta: Nýchta is one of Pagoniá's closest (and only) friends. Their relationship is a bit tried, as any relationship would be with Pagoniá, but it works. The two spend most of their time together, and it is extremely rare to see one without the other. Nýchta was there for Pagoniá as soon as she joined Apricot Acres, and the two have stuck together ever since. She took the younger collie under her wing and helped her feel comfortable and safe again. Nýchta almost acts as a mothering figure for the other collie, but not as close as Pagoniá was with Lotte. Nothing would ever come close again to that relationship, and Pagoniá understands this. But Nýchta is a close second. The two love to go swimming together and talk about anything that comes to their minds. They both know every detail about each other, probably too much.

Skýlos: These two don't appear to have much of a relationship on the outside, but Pagoniá holds Skýlos close to her heart. She has a respect for the male, and longs to get to know him better. The pair have talked on multiple occasions, but Skýlos doesn't want to spend every waking minute with her, which is hard for both of them. He does like her company and thinks she is beautiful, but she can be trying at times. The amount of attention required to hold her close is too much for Skýlos at times. Pagoniá tries not to let it bother her, but she can't help but feel frustrated. Does she love him? Maybe to Pagoniá she does, at least what she understands love to be. She loves to sneak stolen glances at him, or overhear his conversations from time to time. She would love to get closer to him, but again, she is far too afraid to. She could be rejected, and then she would never be close to him again. So, for now, her love will remain unrequited and hidden, for it is safer that way.

Future Events: Pagoniá’s future becomes more bright after she finds her way into Apricot Acres. She was unable to live on her own for very long after Lotte was taken, she she herself was taken soon after. She was tossed from kennel to kennel, not being able to find a proper home. People loved her beautiful coat, but hated her personality. She tried to bite, and appeared very aggressive, landing her right back in another kennel. After many months of being thrown about, she finally ended up within Apricot Acres. The owner there was extremely patient, and took a lot of time with Pagoniá, wanting her to come out of her shell. They could tell she had been extremely hurt in the past, and wanted to do everything they could to make her feel safe once again. It took a very long time, and many disappointing trials, but they finally were able to get her out of her shell, along with the help of some of the other resident dogs. Nýchta helped her a lot, and let her learn how to trust another dog again. The two became best friends after a short while, and Pagoniá learned how to finally trust again. She learned how to enjoy the small things in life again, and to form relationships with other dogs and people as well. Her beginnings may have started out very rough, and while she will never forget Lotte, she has learned how to continue living.

Tinsel was born a singleton in the dead of winter. He was so small and fragile-looking, it was unknown if he would survive. On top of that, he had a bad reaction to the usual worming medications given to puppies, and it was touch and go for a while there.
