One cold foggy night, Remmi was just taking out the trash when he saw a couple of lights in the sky. At first, he didn't think anything of it until it started to go down. He tried to hide behind his trash bins and saw two little green weirdly shaped beings holding what seemed to be a scroll. Sadly he couldn't understand them as they were speaking a whole different language that he's never heard before. Remmi tried to go back inside but he stepped on a twig and the green beings stared right at him, staring into his scarred soul. They said a word and then quickly flew away in their round-shaped plane.

the candles were laid out across the floor, black and white wax dripping onto the old, creaking hardwood. the light from the flames barely illuminated the stranger's face as he stared across the room, a twinge of nervousness in his eyes as he spoke.

"if there is anyone here, please, make yourself known. i won't hurt you."

there was no response. but that didn't seem to deter him. instead, he reached into the satchel at his side, sprinkling a handful of powder across the candles. they sparked, the flames glowing brighter for a moment, before dying down to a low, blue glow.

after another few minutes of nothing, his head fell into his hands in frustration.
i couldn't help but laugh, my breath let out in clouds against the cold air in the old house.

his head darted up at the sound, eyes wide. staring right at me.
through me.

i smiled, reached over. put out a candle between my fingers.
he gasped, scrambled backward, hands slapping around. searching for and failing to find his flashlight.

i sent the candle flying across the room.

in an instant, he was gone, loud footsteps running towards the door.

With his face snuggled into his pillow in the dead of night, he woke to the sound of someone walking down the hall. Peering up from his satin sheets, Cadence caught the silhouette of a figure walking across the hallway and into the bathroom, as its lights had been left on in case his date had the need to use the restroom during their stay. He closed his eyes again, when he felt the weight of his lover shift under his arms.

Haze was buying groceries when he caught sight of someone out of the corner of his eye.
They looked... off, somehow, in a way that made his skin crawl.
Haze jumped, rapidly turning his head to fully look at them and -

They were perfectly normal.
Right, of course. Just his imagination.

Haze was halfway across the parking lot when he spotted them again.
They were leaning on the wall, silently staring at him.

Haze shivered, started walking faster.

Finally, his car came into sight, and he nearly sobbed in relief - and immediately felt very silly, because nothing bad had actually happened, right?

He huffed out a slightly breathless laugh at his own antics and made to open the door.

And then the floor dropped out beneath him.

Haze yelped in surprise, nearly falling over.
The ground, not concrete anymore but something different, something other, hummed beneath him.
His heart was beating rabbit-fast in his chest, everything around him was strange, not as it was meant to be at all, too bright too much too loud - the cold shock lancing through him made him dizzy and his knees buckled, head swimming.

He hit the ground.

He was in the parking lot.

In the silent night, as all are fast asleep, a light tap tap tapping can be heard throughout the house. All lights are off, not a flicker to be heard, until that knock knock knocking awakens the crowd. With a brave face, a little Kalon, not quite awake and not too sound. The brave kal, decided to go, go and check and see who was doing all that knocking on the door.

When the kal opened the door, just a sliver nothing more, a gush of wind whooshed past his fur. The poor Kalon immediately slammed the door! When he opened the door to meet his fate… it wasn’t the same date! The sun was up but he still felt a chill. Know one seemed to be bothered, but the kal who felt smothered. This was scary, this was creepy, most of all, definitely magic.

(I tried kinda a Doctor Seuss kinda story)
