jade once had a dream that he was a tree. it sounds silly, but in this dream, he got to hear all sorts of discussions that people wouldn’t normally have around him, simply because they were secrets you wouldn’t share in front of anyone else. they were the sort of discussions you’d only have in the privacy of the vast woods.

he couldn’t remember a single one when he woke up. it was unfortunate, because one of the aforementioned discussions seemed to be the answer to something that had been troubling him for a long time. he hoped he’d get to someday hear it again, in another dream.

Dream: Phantasmagoria had an awfully strange dream; a dream with the strangest
alternatives for creatures! Lemurs instead of cats, Maned wolves for dogs, etc!
Everything was so vibrant and colorful, but every tree was replaced with a
giant worm, rabbit holes replaced with endless voids that Phantasmagoria
chose to keep away from (and for good reason). The red flags of this dream
were that all of the other kalons were replaced with odd shadows, a
manifestation of his anxiety, the sun being replaced with a huge black hole,
and likely even more that Phantasmagoria feared. The only thing normal
about this dream, was of course, Phantasmagoria's home, and a bakery.

Everything else was so weird, and seemingly a threat to Phantasmagoria's
dream; to make it even more strange if Phantasmagoria was to ever touch it.

Dream: She was hiking the long ranges of mountains near her home. Exploring forests and seeing what they have to offer. Following rivers into hidden gorges and pools of clear spring water, perfect for swimming. She would stay for what felt like days, despite the shortness of her sleep come morning, in one area, gaining the trust of the creatures who reside there and making friends of each. One "day" a blurry figure made itself known to her, and she felt a sudden clarity, speaking in her mind rather than aloud. We've been watching you, and want to welcome you home. Confused, she followed. There were more of them, all living in a hidden grove. Their forms never fully materialized. They showed her secrets those who pass through don't ever find. They taught her their culture, and called her Andromeda, Daughter of The Stars.

Emer seemed to have weird dreams lately, but this one was his favorite. He could jump high. Jump and touch the tall ceiling, jump and touch the tree leaves. He could jump and start running. Nothing hurt him. He loved the feeling. The wind in his hair, the feeling of landing, the power he had. He could fly if he wanted to. Touch the clouds, come down without being hurt. He could jump to the moon. He could go anywhere he wanted, just my jumping. No matter how hard he tried, he could never dream about it again.

At first there's silence, all I can see is darkness.

Then suddenly I hear a gentle hush,
And find myself standing on the beach. I can feel the deep blue cold ocean grazing my paws with every moving motion.

It's dark.

Suddenly I can see a jade pendant falling from the sky,
And immediately apong entering the ocean, the water changes to the exact color as the jade pendant.

A gentle glow comes from the water... And it's warm,
I begin walking forward out of my own control.

Deeper... Deeper... And deeper I go, until the waves have but completely washed over me.

I can't see. Not because it's dark, but because there's so much light around me.

Then suddenly it becomes silent again and I'm surrounded by nothing but darkness,

I open my eyes, and find myself in a world I've never seen before....

"all my life i've never known my purpose, i've just existed to find one.
but i woke up one night, after a vivid dream.
I dreamt of a frog, in a tuxedo.
He ran a library underground in a basement, in the middle of a random field.
He never spoke a word to me, but he would give me books, let me stay in the library,
even paint it purple.
He treated me as if i was his family, when he knew nothing about me.
But for once i felt that i truly had a place i belonged.
He never said a word to me until the end,
but together we sat and watched the sundown in silence,
and for once, i had learned that life doesn't need a purpose for it to be enjoyable.
He would pat my head and wave goodbye, while watching me slowly wake up."
