Gentleleaf is the medicine cat of Sycamoreclan, and he's very skilled. However, he's a bit new to the forest and hasn't learned about everything that inhabits it.

He was exploring the forest in the territory of the clan and came across the stream that the cats claim. The tom peered into the water and waited for something to appear. Gentleleaf still had some knowledge of hunting, and he was an expert at fishing according to his friends that he had made.

Out of the corner of his eye, a flash of colors appeared. He stepped back, startled. The appearance of the fish was amazing! Its scales were an ombre of every color of the rainbow but saturated deeply and gleaming in the light. There was no way he could kill this creature in all of its glory. Besides, the clan was currently well off.

Gentleleaf stared at the rainbow fish, raptured by its beauty. He doubted the fish noticed him since his shadow was out of the way of the surface of the water, but it swam gracefully in a circle in front of him.
