This adopt comp will be a short prompt! I'd like for you to either draw or describe an accessory they own or like to wear.
- If answering in writing, you have 250 words max.
- If answering with art, you have 1 piece (with or without the kalon is fine, feel free to just draw the accessory!). A short caption is allowed with the art, but of course please try to keep it brief!

Merlot carries a cloak and staff with him.
Though unassuming, the thin indigo coat, worn along the edges and dusted with sparkling sands, serves as a reminder of his roots. It’s velvet folds encompass his history. It’s hemmed into the threadbare edges of the cloak, faded and loved. Weathered by calloused hands and countless sandstorms. A faithful companion. The rich, purple fibers are thin, cooling, comforting. It keeps him grounded.

The staff is much less a staff than it is a gnarled root, garnished lovingly with sparkling trinkets and iridescent shells. Merlot is weary, leaning on the staff for a solid tether to the ever-shifting sands, though it has seen its fair share of battles as well.
