Stormclan revered the birds high in the sky and as for the bats… they were seen as omens of tragedy and death. No one treats him poorly, but the clan is full of whispers about him. This gave Batpaw little desire to stay for long.

He needed to see if Stormclan was the best place for him, if this group of cats were even the ones he wanted to protect and stay with. The world is beautiful and he’s met lots of wonderful cats, but it never feels quite right.

Maybe Stormclan is where he belongs after all...

Ratswipe spent their early life in caves and darkness, only coming out at night for fear of being seen, retreating before morning. When they were first welcomed into Juniperclan, they saw their first sunrise. It was absolutely stunning, and Ratswipe wondered how they had ever lived without the sun.
Not long after, they heard the old rogue's tale about the sun-drown place; a massive lake that never ended, where the sunset reflected and stretched as far as the eye could see.
Ratswipe made it their life goal, then, to travel to this mystical place, and fly among the endless sunset. [100]

And then... the wind picked up. She faltered, tumbled; the air was knocked from her lungs as she hit the ground.

"Chickadee!" her mentor called, rushing towards his fallen charge.

"Wait, wait, I'm fine!" She stood up, spread her wings. Fine. She giggled. "Did you see? I was fllyyyiinngg."

And although it did hurt just a bit, the small smile on the weary leader's maw was worth it.
