“Well, that’s just lovely.” Iotic said quickly, “I guess we’re just supposed to figure out everything.” She took a big bite out of her sandwich, taking out her frustration on the bread and green plant.
<b>One lettuce sandwich later…</b>
Iotic was walking through the part of town where the Arctic, Freya, lived with her roommate, Rune. According to Devious, they had received their invitations last, from the “Mailwaja”, whoever that was.
“No… you’ve already caught 50 Rattata. I think it’s time to stop.” She heard a familiar, soft voice ahead of her.
“Freya! Rune!” She called, trotting up to the two friends. Even though they were taller than her, Iotic didn’t feel small… well… not completely.
“Hey Iotic! What’s up?” Rune waved, quickly turning their attention back to their phone, muttering, “No, come on Rattata.” Iotic guessed they were playing Pokemon Go, their favorite game.
“Pachalaska.” Iotic said bluntly, blending the two fiances' names into the ship name that she had heard numerous Wajas around the Lab use.
“Oh, right. You don’t happen to know who the pie stain covered up?” Freya said, using her wing to try to sabotage Rune’s digital Pokeball so that they would pay attention.
“No, but I was going to ask if you happened to know if they have been in town lately.” The robotic Earth said.
“Well… the ‘Mailwaja’ turned out to be Alaska in disguise.” Freya said. Rune sighed as they pocketed their phone. The Rattata must’ve fled.
“That’s not a surprise.” Iotic said, smothering a laugh.
“I GOT IT!” Rune yelled, startling the Earth and the other Arctic, “Apple Pie told us that Alaska had left Winterstar Mountain to go look for pie places last week!”
“AND THERE’S ONLY ONE PIE PLACE OUTSIDE THE MOUNTAIN!” Iotic stood up.
“THE PIE SHOP!” The two shouted together, jumping up into the air and giving each other a high five. (Freya just watched the two, looking very confused.)
I'm not going to bother with changing HTML (which is what I use on Wajas ) to CSS.
Rune should have his own standalone story with those Rattata.
