Helios loves each of his Pokémon equally, regardless of when or where he found them. To him, the moment they joined him they became family, and that was that.
~~~
First was his starter Pokémon, Raiden. He had been small, for a Charmander. Yet unlike the other Pokémon he held a spark in his eyes that screamed Loyalty Strength Devotion, and he knew they would go far together.
~
Next came Emre. Alone in the forest, injured and tired. It broke his heart seeing the Pokémon, who had clearly done his best, abandoned. So he carefully picked him up and took him to the nearest center, with a promise to never leave him behind again.
~
Amara was found in a similar way, only this time he saw the trainer as they made the decision to abandon their Pokémon. Tied to a random post near a Pokémon center, she had refused to move for hours until realizing her owner wasn’t coming back. Another promise was made that night.
~
Elaine and Thames were taken together, a gift from an elderly women he helped one day. “These two were born for adventure, but these days I’m all adventured out. Love and show them the world.” They stop by to visit as often as possible.
~
Finally came Farren. An ambitious little Gligar who had attacked them one night while they were traveling. He managed to do some significant damage before finally being captured; thankfully they were just outside town. After that, he refused to leave, and Helios wouldn’t have it any other way.
