Welcome to the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project
Euphorian Thoroughbreds are a rare string of the Thoroughbred breed. They come from a single farm simply called “Euphoria” that has horses with mutated genes. These allow them to be able to possess any realistic coat or markings. Everything else about the sub-type is the same. Long, strong legs, a powerful hind, and great speed. Their eyes are soft and the breed is incredibly smart, if not a bit goofy. They love kids and have the rare ability to excel in any discipline. They can grow from 15hh-18hh, though usually somewhere in the middle.
The horses readopted through the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project are looking for a new loving home and a new job. They’ve tried racing and have either retired or decided the sport wasn’t for them. Either way, they are ready for the next chapter in their life. Some of these horses will come with a little training already, and will have their new discipline already determined. Although others you’ll get to pick how they move forwards!

Competition: Harvey's two favorite animals are bats and raccoons. Before being purchased by Amethyst Ridge, he was privately owned by a wildlife rehabilitator who specialized in raccoons, so he became very affectionate watching her take care of all of the babies. His shed fur was often felted into blankets and mats for the young raccoons to play and sleep on, so it always gave him the feeling of being included in their rescue. Their outdoor enclosure was also housed in his pasture, where he and the rehabber's bassett hound could keep predators away from the growing juveniles prior to their release. Bats on the other hand were a rarity in the rescue; they never saw very many (which is a good thing), but Harvey always found himself fascinated by their barely audible noises and erratic nighttime flight patterns. He's been shown a few pups that his previous owner had taken in, and been nearby for the successful releases, but usually he has to wait until the evening and be lucky enough to see one in flight.

Two animals he's not too fond of are cats and buzzing insects. For cats, he doesn't really mind watching them, letting them rub against his legs, or interacting with them in general, but what he cannot stand is when they jump on his back. His back is very sensitive (part of the reason he needs a soft rider) and without fail, the felines always dig their claws into him when they leap and it is excruciating. They also tend to get on him when he least expects it, so add him getting spooked into that list and you'd understand. His hatred of buzzing insects is for a very similar reason; bugs like flies and wasps make a very loud, very sudden sound, and they're almost always right at his ears. He absolutely despises it, because it scared him and he doesn't want anything he's not familiar with near his ears. During competition, he almost always has to wear bonnets to keep him from getting distracted and mistakenly throwing his rider.

Competition:Thorin likes: mice. There's a few that stay at the stable he lives in and he enjoys watching them run about or let's them steal his hay for their neste etc, he is also more than happy to share his grain with them and has even had a few sit on his stall door and let him sniff them etc, though he wishes they weren't so shy so that he could see them more, he usually always makes sure to spill his feed to bring them out. He also likes foxes because they are adorable and wag their (incredibly fluffy) tails in a cute way, and thinks they have beautiful faces. Although some of their noises especially at night scare him. He's been lucky to watch a few in the distant fields playing and fighting etc. He loves to watch them and is fascinated by them.

Thorin dislikes: bugs. From slugs to moths to spiders, he hates any crawling insect with a burning passion. He also dislikes dogs, he finds them annoying and unruly and hates the sound of their high pitched yelping or their annoyingly loud barking, it just gets in his nerves. He often kicks or chases any of the stables dogs or strays etc, he just hates them.

He hates big cats, as the ones in the circus always scared him. When they weren't lashing out, they were pacing their cages and growling constantly. He also hates the stable's border collies. They're jobs are to herd the sheep the stable keeps, but sometimes they try to herd him instead.

He loves the chickens that live beside the stables, and it's always fun to chase the little flock of them around when he gets bored. His absolute favorite animal, though, are crows. He's come to learn that if he gives them some of his morning feed, they'll come back with a carrot from the garden or an apple from the orchard to pay him back.
