Please read through these quick guidelines before posting forms and the like!
How it Works:
This is a general guide for artists, as well as information for users, so you know the process is fair!
โ coat colors are rolled for, using a punnet square type method (Mm x mm has 50% Mm and 50% mm) or any other method youโd like, as long it is realistic genetically. always make sure to roll for long or short fur, keeping in mind that long fur (L) is dominant, so if one of the parents is LL, all of the puppies will have long fur!
โ Stats should either be similar to or a combination of the parents, or randomly rolled for. Some can be higher/lower than the parents.
โEach Pyrenean has three breeding slots, which can result in 1-4 pups. The following are the chances of each number, which can be rolled for using a random number generator:
1: 20% (1-20) 2:40% (21-60) 3:30% (61-90) 4:10% (91-100)
โ When a chimeric/somatic is bred, the mutation has a 15% chance to pass if both parents have it. If one parent has it, the chance is 10%.
If chimeric does pass, artists will combine both genotypes of the chimeric with the genotype of the other parent. (Ex: a gold and black chimeric x a silver brindle; the two coats would be a gold x brindle and a black x brindle) If both parents are chimeric, breed the recessive coats with each other, and the dominant coats with each other.
If chimeric doesnโt pass, then roll to see which coat from the chimeric parent(s) passes, based on the percentages givenfor dominant/recessive coats by the artist

General Rules
โ Pups are grown onto the main lines by their artist after three weeks
โ Each Pyrenean only has 3 breeding slots.If youโre found to have used an extra slot with one of your pyreneans, or to have broken any other rules, your breeding privileges may be revoked.
โ Users must wait at least 2 weeks between each breeding (from the time the ticket was posted). A user itโs own a Pyrenean at least two weeks before breeding it
โ A Pyrenean may not be bred with another Pyrenean with genetic ties to it, unless it has been at least 5 generations in between.
โ two Merle/harlequins may not be bred with each other due to the chance of lethal Merle.
โ Artists will post here when they have a round open. When they post that theyโre open for a round, you may post your forms. Artists may choose forms based on parents, a raffle method, or some other method. If an artist hasnโt posted saying theyโre open, please do not post a form! Artists, please do not open around until the artist above you has closed their round to forms. This is to avoid confusion!
โ Do not double post your forms, particularly in raffles.
โ For realismโs sake, two male or two female wolfhounds may not be bred unless using a special item.
โ If youโre using a breeding item, please be sure to specify as such in your form.
โ You must get permission to breed a Pyrenean that isnโt your own.
โ Do not ask for specific coat colors to pass.
