lady, lady, they all pray. wishes and hopes and wants- all for her ears.

lady, lady, they all cry. fix our broken souls and broken hearts and broken lives.

lady, lady, they all beg. tell me; answer me; help me.

lady of the moon; lady of the stars; lady of the twilight sky. in their ambition and arrogance, they dare to reach for the out of reach. they sing songs of the lovely moon that watches over them; they tell stories of the kind moon that lights the dark. but the pale moon and her court of stars see all, and she sees that they have fallen into misery and hate.

when they build bridge after bridge after bridge of clouds and stardust in the night sky, the moon draws ever further away. her stars see the futile efforts, and they twinkle in mockery. for though the moon and the stars seem close enough to touch, they are distant and cold.

see now- even in the twilight evening, the moon has already hidden herself in pink and purple and blue clouds.

see now- a star streaks across the sky, but even with its dying breath, it wishes to fall anywhere except the planet of blue and green.

see now- as the sun fades, the sky blackens with hurt and wrath, until it is too dark to see.

but the moon still sees, and she does not like what she beholds.

Hi Dreamers! I hope you've all been doing well! I've had a super busy week looking around for places to set up the new candle business (eek!!) but I know I'm super blessed to have been given this opportunity, so I can't complain uwu
