Haelen walked, her heart pounding, excited. There was a whole world now for her to explore. Above her, a Braviary flew above her, leading her way. Where she was headed, she had no idea, but she sure was going to have a good time, she knew. There were so many new things! The tall grass was so high, she was swimming in it. It was so much fun! This new adventure was the most excitement she'd had in ages!

I strutted through the brush, confident that I was late enough to training to be cool. I always wanted to fit in, being a dwarf and all. So, I decided that I would be a cool eevee. The only other 'cool' eevee was Honeydew. We always walked to training late, standing out from the others. Although training was somewhat fun, I have to do this so that other eevees like me. My whole life people had made fun of me for being a dwarf. But this was my chance to have friends, by being cool.
Although some people bullied me, Mystery City was great. The townsfolk were nice - even if they were pretending - and they never stared at me - or they tried not to. Mystery City was right next to Mysterica Forest. No eevees lived there, but I heard some whispering that Honeydew would create a community there. Mystery City was huge, with skyscrapers looking like they were trying to touch the clouds. Many people had pokemon, but Mysteri Academy for Training Eevees was only for eevees, since most people had eevees. The teachers were all nice, and they all had a teacher eevee who translated everything we said. We had created a code so that the teachers could understand us; we would tap on the blackboard for letters, and tapped the teacher's palm for symbols and numbers.
Yes, life was usually great. But in life you got the ups and the downs.
One day, when I was being late, another student saw me hiding. "Come on! You'll be late!" she whined. I wouldn't listen. I stayed. They pulled me out of the bush and half dragged me to the instructor. Little did I know that she was a teacher's pet. Literally. She padded over to the teacher and told them in code; Caught student hiding. The small one. So, the teacher glared at me and called me over. The other students laughed as the teacher scolded me. That day was the day that I finally had enough of their teasing, the day when I finally decided to run away and escape this bullied world. To start anew. (360)
Extra: I ran, not wanting them to catch up. Behind me was a pale eevee, and apparently I had been in their territory. Somehow, I hadn't recognized them as the other 'cool' eevee from training when we were younger. But there was no sign of life there.. unless they were lying. Perhaps they were a leader, but they didn't want me because I was a dwarf and they didn't recognize me. All my life, others had mocked me and my trainer because I was shorter than the rest. I always wished I were taller, but that would never happen.
My heart was racing as I ran deeper into Mysterica Forest. Little did I know that Mysterica Forest was their territory, and I was only getting farther in. Finally, the leader stopped running to catch her breath, and I knew that this was my chance. Gritting my teeth, I pushed my legs harder to get away from them. At last, I was far enough away from them to stop. Being in a strange territory, it somehow reminded me of my old home.. (190)
