"And there it is!" he says with an oddly delighted tone. You barely manage to utter words of confusion and he had arleady grabbed your hand and was currently leading you to it. "Look, look. Right at the corner!" What you assumed to be oddly coloured moss shakes a bit and stands up, now also wagging what you assume is its tail. "Ask me."

It says in a deep voice. You jerk back in shock. "No no no! It's arlight! It shows excitement this way. Go ahead!" the scientist says exitedly. You are worried by this kind of behaviour from the creature AND the guide, thinking that it has some sort of psychic abilities. Nevertheless you comply. As you ask a series of questions you see the oddity. Most of the time it says the typical yes or no to the questions, but sometimes it answers in very strange phrases. You look at the scientist. Despite him trying to be professional you see that he's genuinely interested. He sighs. "As sad it is for them to go, we do need to clear the space for more specimens. That's why you're here. Here, take this. I have to go." He hands you a folder of notes. "Hey... could you let me know if there's more to this guy? That'll be great." He says before leaving. You deduct that he got too attached to it. You look at the creature just as it starts speaking again. "You need time to think? That's okay. I can wait."

The specimen's ears sag slightly to see his former specialist leave, but his earthy scales continue to crumble off as he wags his tail expectantly. You chuckle, sympathising with how easily the fellow researcher and probably many others must have bonded to such a playful creature. You know you won't be any exception. Without further ado, you begin the interrogation.
