"Are you kidding me? That involves getting wet!" Smokeheart hissed, bouncing back.
"Of course! And I love it - I just wanna go! Please?" Curlewstream whispered, bouncing forward. "It's not as fun if I'm alone!
"You're out of your mind," she muttered. "What kinda cat likes swimming? Er, no normal ones."
"I'm normal! And I'll show you what I'm talking about!"
"Whatever."

The day had passed, and as hoped, the sky had remained clear. The day had proven to be unexpectedly warm.
I cant wait to show her how wrong she is, she thought. We'll go over to the pond, and I'll prove how beautiful it gets.
She nudged the other molly, who muttered something and turned over.
"What do you want?" she murmured. "Oh, it's you. Uh, sorry, but I'm busy."
"Busy sleeping?" she retorted. "It's not even dark yet, and you're asleep?"
"Yeah, weird schedule and all... so warm out there... let me sleep." Smokeheart muttered, then turned over again.
"Hrr. I'll take your place in the night patrol if you promise to get in the water. Plus I’m sure it’s cold.”
Smokeheart opened one eye. "I'm listening. You drive a hard bargain..."
"Oh, yeah?" Curlewstream whispered, amused.
"Gah. Sure. I'll come to your stupid water. As long as you follow through, or we're gonna have a problem."

They trailed through the forest, hope arising in Curlewstream. We're getting closer!

Finally, she stopped at the edge of the water.

She gasped. It was more beautiful than before - the deep blue of the night sky reflected in the water as a pure mirror; the stars shone through, almost as piercing the water; and most beautiful of all...
"What are these flying lights?" Smokeheart mewed incredulously. "They're getting in my face."
"They're fireflies!" Curlewstream whispered. "And they're glowing bugs! Aren't they beautifully cool?"
"Bugs, you say." Smokeheart muttered. "No, I've never thought bugs were particularly cool, thanks. I could do without."
"Are you afraid of a little glowing light?" she responded humorously. "I never thought you were scared of anything, besides water."
"I'm not scared of bugs or water, thank you very much." she retorted.
Curlewstream, although in awe of the sight, decided to just jump anyway. Water landed on Smokeheart, who recoiled in disgust. "Eugh! You got water all over me!"
"Yeah, that's gonna happen when you swim. When you swim..." Curlewstream paused, and continued, "Which is happening, right?"
"No! Why would I?"
"Well, you would've come here for waste - I'm not gonna take your patrol later if you don't get in!" Curlewstream responded, head bobbing in the water.
"Ugh..."
"Here," Curlewstream raised out of the water, "lemme help!"

"Did you PUSH me??" Smokeheart hissed, "Why, you--"
"I bet you can't catch me!" Curlewstream shouted, swimming away.

What a treat on such a warm day! And I'm glad to have shared it with her, even if she quite doesn't appreciate... nature, she thought. I hope she'll come back soon.

Mudjaw truly enjoys the succulent, slightly salty taste of mud and dirt. Ever since he was a kit he has consumed mountains worth of the delicious material, carefully judging each variety by its unique set of ingredients and tastes. He often finds a patch of looser ground and uses his lower jaw as a shovel, scooping the yummy dirt straight down his throat, barely stopping to be tasted as it rushes through. Unfortunately, he has found the tastiest samples within the territory of the colony cats and they're still a tad sore over what happened between the clan and colony previously. He often comes home bloody, sore and with muddy dirt all over his face. Many of the clan claim he is addicted to it and due to its availability, they can't get him to stop.

His father was never really that affectionate; he remembered that much.
PineClaw recalled the far off figure that was MudStorm, watching from a distance- face unreadable. He had wanted to please, to make his father happy yet he always failed short in his mind. Not a word of praise.
This was made worse when, in a twist of fate, his previous mentor died thus leaving him with his dear old father as a mentor. It was panic-inducing for PinePaw, constantly striving to please a cat who just wouldn't show it if he cared. In fact, most of what MudStorm said to his son was complaints, that he wasn't fast enough, strong enough. Yet MudStorm worked by his son's side day in and night, constantly pushing him to be better.
As PinePaw grew he did his best to keep up with his father's pace- eventually this made him become stronger, tougher- even if he remained emotional on the inside. It was the day after his graduation ceremony, he spent the morning on a hunting patrol, doing his best to keep his clan fed. It had passed relatively quickly, arriving back at camp he found his father waiting for him. He was beckoned over and reluctantly he followed. His father leaned over resting his nose into his son's pelt letting out a relieved noise.
He leaned back and pushed forwards a thrush, clearing his throat.
"I'm proud of you."

Finding a thrush at the beach was, well, difficult. He regretted moving to this clan every time he doubted himself and needed that special treat to pick himself up. The days he could find a thrush in the wooded pines on the edge of their territory he was always ecstatic- savouring the moment as long as he could. Fish was good, seabirds too but they all failed to compare the forest bird that kept with it the memories that his father- no matter how long gone, was proud.

favourite treat?: what's hawkfeather's favorite treat? Well a few moons ago when he was just an apprentice he decided to go hunting. By himself. During a storm. The soaked tom meowed in fright of the thunder. A pair of strong warm hairless paws picked him up, hawkpaw was too frightened to move, his eyes the size of bowling balls. The twoleg brought him into it's den. He dried the frightened kit with a towel and set him down to explore. Hawkpaw jumped up next to the man who pet him in response. The man was eating something strange from a bag that made a lot of noise. Curiously he nosed the bag. The man laughed which made hawkpaw jump. Reaching his pink hand in he revealed a large orange puff. The men held it to hawkpaw's face for him to sniff. Hawkpaw licked it gently, it tasted good! It was like nothing he'd tried before, it was even better than rabbit! The hairless man laughed again giving the cat three more in a small pile "you like Cheetos don't ya kitty?" Hawkpaw's sat there munching for awhile.

Ever since then hawkfeather occasionally goes to see the man for some "Cheetos"

favourite treat?: Deerspring really enjoys eating white sprinkles! Yes, they must be white X3 He was once a kittypet, and his twoleg didn't seem to know what cats were supposed to eat... Always being fed things like French fries, strawberry ice cream, and chocolate, the pearly white sprinkles he'd get every now and then became his favorite. Once he became a warrior, though, he scarcely saw them. Of course, he vowed to remain loyal to his tribe, though, even if it meant to never see sprinkles again.

favourite treat?: His favourite treat is the Spicy Braised Beltfish he gets when he brushes by the human gathering every week that happens during greenleaf. It’s always warm and ready for him in a small bowl, with green-colored toppings on the meat, not that he eats those. The hunger that gathers to travel to it is very much sated by this fancy treat, and Dustpelt looks forward to it whenever he sets out on his memorized trip. The fish tastes extremely better than what the clan catches out of the sea and he gets scratches behind his ear, so it's worth it.
