Meadowleap's heart sank and her paws were coated in sweat as she sat beneath her leader's unflinching stern gaze. His hazel eyes seemed to burn like a forest fire, melting her and making her want to wither like a flower in Summer. She cast a scared look at Fishwhistle, wanting reassurance from her sister, wanting nothing more to wake up and realize this was a dream. However, she knew this wasn't what was going on. This was a reality, her reality, and she took the blame for something her sister has done. She claimed to have murdered Wildfire, something she didn't do.

The clanmates that surrounded her hissed at her, forcing her to pry her gaze away from her beloved sister and focus back on her leader. Why was she doing this? Why was she taking the blame for her sister, especially when it meant she was losing everything she loved in life. Her calling as a warrior, her family, her friends, everything was being stripped away from her like a piece of bark.

Tears filled her eyes as she gazed up at Bumblestar, his tabby fur bushed up in anger. The normally calm and kind tom was so close to lunging at her, it frightened her.

"Meadowleap, you have committed a crime far beyond any other we have seen in LotusClan. There is only one way we can handle this appropriately." He turned his gaze towards his warriors, tail thrashing like a fish knocked out of the water. "We must exile our traitors. Meadowleap, do you have anything to say?"

With that, the blue tortoiseshell looked over her shoulder at her spotted sister, tears rolling down her cheeks. "I love you Fishwhistle." As she spoke that, her former clanmates got to their paws and lashed out of her, trying to catch her fur in their claws. Meadowleap jumped to her paws and scrambled away, stepping out of the camp for the last time. This was it, this was the end of her time in LotusClan. Where should she go now?

Turning her head towards the mountains, the longhaired she-cat padded towards those forbidding stony hills, ready to face a new beginning.

Because I would love to see more finished entries, and more entries in general, I have decided to extend this.
I am heading into finals next week, and will be in finals for the next two weeks.
I will not be available to judge this competition until after May 16th.

Because of this, this competition is going to be extended to May 16th, 2019 at 10:00 PM CDT!, and will be judged directly after it closes!

The Secret: Half-clan Siblings

Extra 1: Alone

Branches clawed at her fur, pulling Mousebreathe into the darkness as she ran through the forest. Her vision was blurred by the tears that had gathered in her eyes, ready to fall at a moment’s notice. ‘This is all your fault, Mousebreathe,’ the voice in her head echoed. ‘You should have tried harder, now you are alone again.’

The hooting of the owls and the screeching of the foxes were drowned out by the voices in her head, yelling at everything that she has done wrong. The darkness tore over her, trying to drag her under, trapping her from the light.

Tearing across the forest, the she-cat felt the weight of this darkness that she had held back all these years press down on her, trying to trap her. ‘I’m not at fault,’ she tried to say, ‘I would have done anything to protect you.’

‘Its not my fault,’ she wanted to scream. ‘You didn’t have to follow me.’ But, she couldn’t. Her heart wouldn’t let her.

Then, the weight disappeared. The shadows fell back, like soldiers waiting for the command to strike. In front of her, the shadows began to take shape, forming the appearance of her sister. “Cloverpelt,” the she-cat tries to say through the lump in her throat. The wind pushed past her, creating a hiss that echoed through Mousebreathe. The world began to fade as the she-cat focused only on the shadow…her littermate.

Mousebeathe cautiously takes a step forward, breathing heavily, but for each step she took, the shadows seemed to be further, fading away into the night. ‘Come back!’ She wanted to scream, yell out, begging for her sister to come back. She wanted to apologise for everything she did wrong. ‘I should have tried harder. I could have got you out.’

The shadows were fading as the first tear falls. Then, the rest follow in a stream of sorrow for all that is gone. “I’m sorry… I am so sorry, Cloverpelt” she says to forest that was too silent for a newleaf night. And so, she was alone. She was drowning and the only person left for her to tell hates her.
