Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.
Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off, which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

the scarf I used for inspiration is one that I bought a few weeks ago that has red cranes on it! - picture

chizuru believes in an ancient japanese legend that claims that a person who could fold one thousand origami cranes by themselves within one year would be granted eternal good luck or one wish. he's dedicated his life to this belief, and he even started a shop based off of origami.

his cranes are the most popular for their vibrant colors and the different designs on each paper, making each one unique. so far chizuru has made one hundred, and he's only sold forty-three. he hope to make more by the end of the year.

some various other origami pieces he makes are hearts, lilies (sometimes put into bouquets for a higher price), and a couple other animals. the hearts are popular around valentine's day, and lilies are popular in the spring. again, each of the pieces are unique just like the cranes. chizuru believes that origami is art, and everything should be original. he pours his heart and soul into the creases of each paper.

if he was ever successfully able to complete one thousand cranes by the end of the year, he would prefer to be granted eternal good luck. although the one wish could be a variant of things to choose from, chizuru would rather have good luck for the rest of his life. maybe even in death and in the afterlife, which is what he hopes for.
