The Great Escape. If I learned on thing while stuck that would be the sun is absolutely boring.
Out of all the things I could have done. It was a big ball of light a star.
Not any ordinary star though. It was THE star. The light of all creation.
It gives energy to those around it. To those on Earth. It feels like I have been
giving this same talk for eternity. This time was different. This time I had faith.
I sat back. A ball of light in my hands, bouncing back and forth off the wall.
The core began to shake. I stood up and looked around.
"Hello? Can I get my phone call now?" The wall began to morph.
In came more light. Then darkness. The room began to lower its brightness.
Suddenly I was being squished to death. Arms rapped around me tightly. A little too
tight if you ask me.
"Brother! You can come home. Father says you have been forgiven. He says you must redeem yourself.
It hasn't been the same without you. I'm sure you can brighten up the place." I pushed the angel off.
"No. You are lying. Tell me, what is really going on?" The angel sighed.
"A war brother. We are afraid we won't be able to win it. You ,however, are full
of power. One of the original angels. Which you we might have a chance. You are
no longer in need of forgiving. WE forgave you a long time ago. So please forgive us."
Usually this would be one of those moment where I sit and think for an hour. I think I have done
enough of that though.
"I'm in." The angel smiled. At first sight you wouldn't think of it as a smile. We usually don't
show emotions. I could tell though. I grabbed there wrist and pulled them out. The cool air felt good on my fur.
At first I didn't notice it at the time, but I was a walking comet. The bright light coming off me lit up the next hundred miles. The angel nudged me and got my attention.
I tried my best to go as dark as I could.
"Where are we?"
"Earth. Before we go I wanted to show you something." We were then at a forest.
Full of all sorts of life.
"See this ,Uriel? Its life. Its wonderful. Unlike us they only life for so long. This is why he
loved it Uri." At that moment you had to admit. It was beautiful. All of the not al creatures interacting with each other. I wouldn’t admit it, but I was jealous. If only all life could be like that. I nodded over to them. “Take me home.”
The battleIt was a disaster. Heaven was chaos. Millions of celestial shelling protect the once beautiful
Home. Souls breaking loose from their heavenly homes. Angels retrieving them. The angels were many shapes and sizes. Some brighter colors of white and orange others deep dark colors of blue or purple. All fighting for the same reason. What they pwere fighting was easy to see. Armies of black and red demons. Easy to distinguish from the rest.
“Uriel. Good to have you back.” The angel who guided me here was now gone. This angel was taller, more serious. Not one bit of emotion covered his face.
“And who might you be?”
“Suriel.”
He had two daggers in each hand.
“Do you need weaponry?” I shook my head.
“I am my weapon.” The palm of my hands started to glow a bright orange, energy from
the sun. Suriel nodded, not looking surprised, but reasonably pleased.
“If it kills.” He looked up at the other angels fighting. “I’d recommend fighting right about now.”
“Agreed.”
Somehow there I was, among the rest of the angels fighting. A young angel next to me, I believe his name was Reeya, struggled with his fighting. I joined him side by side we fought. I wasn’t sure at the moment, but I had faith. Faith that this battle could be won.
